Vixey Adelais L'Enfant
* tell us a little about yourself. My name's Vixey and I'm seventeen years old. I was born may 16th, making me a taurus if you're interested in astrology. I was born in Walten, but my family and I moved to France when I was two years old. We lived in Paris, which is somewhat predictable for americans. Paris has enough english speakers so that an english school is in place, but french is needed to converse with a lot of the locals. Consequentially, I picked up the language. We moved back to Walten when I turned ten. I loved learning about my heritage, but I love Walten and I plan to stay here for the rest of my life. I'm finishing my senior year in high school and then I intend to go to college as close as possible to, if not in, Walten.
* what are some of your positive traits?I am very lady like in my manner. I walk gracefully and talk with respect to anyone and everyone, if they treat me with respect also, that is, because I'm extremely strong-minded. I'm glad I live in an age where women are allowed to state their opinions, because without freedom of speech I would feel trapped. I need to be heard and I think it's a good thing. Intelligence is also something I have. I naturally do alright in school and have a brain like a sponge. History genuinely interests me as does english. I'm embarassed to say I actually enjoy school, sometimes. Also, I don't need to lean on someone for support. Rather, I support myself and whoever else comes along. I can be very affectionate and loving. Once one gets to know me I'll let them in. I don't shy away from physical contact and I'm very loyal when I make a commitment. Loyalty is something I pride myself on, actually. Not only am I loyal in relationships, but I am loyal in everything. I am loyal to my town, my friends, and any organizations I am a part of. I have always believed there is nothing better than loyalty. Loyalty within a country prevents civil wars making the country stronger and harder for outsiders to destroy. The same principle can be applied to relationships as well. Something that should come with loyalty is bravery. I have plenty of fears, but I will face them to stand up for what -or who- I believe in. Spineless people are a pet peeve of mine: If I can do it, anyone can. I don't dislike them of course, rather, I pity them. Another trait I possess is kindness. Most people don't think much of this trait and claim they all have it, but we all know that's not true. I do more than hold open doors for people. I do my best to go out of my way in order to make people feel like they have someone they can count on. I know what it's like to be alone and -although I mannaged to get over it- I don't want anyone else to experience that pain unless they deserve it.
* what are some things that you can improve on?I like to keep an aire of mystery, which can be a good thing sometimes, but it can also be crippling. It takes a while to break down the walls I surround myself with. A great deal of patience is needed when dealing with me because I don't want everyone to know my secrets and the things I keep close to my heart. I also have a tendency to become angry or annoyed very often. I hide my emotions and cover them with smiles and laughter or simply blank expressions. I rarely ever show what I am truly feeling unless I trust a person completely. This makes it difficult to understand me.
I don't like to admit this, but I'm somewhat vain. I do my best to make myself look presentable. Sometimes it bothers me when I don't look better than everyone else. I lap up compliments like a thirsty dog and it's rather unfortunate. If I was a tragic hero this trait would be my downfall. I downplay my vanity as much as possible, but I can't help loving pretty things. I cover myself inbeautiful clothes and spend way too much time on my appearence.
I mentioned earlier that I have a tendency to speak my mind. With that tendency comes a bluntness that is undeniably another downfall. There are times when I don't think through what I am saying or who I am saying things to. When I'm amused, I'll laugh. The situation may not be a laughing matter, but I can't help myself. I use sarcasm quite often and it can be very offensive, yet I don't know when to stop. I have a straightforward way of speaking when I forget to mask myself. Saying what is on my mind has gotten me in to trouble on numerous occasions.
* what's your biggest secret? we won't tell. This might be hard to believe, but I was quite the vixen from seventh grade through freshman year in high school. After my father died in a car crash I entered that rebellious stage. My mother was never very close to me to begin with, sadly. She was always preoccupied with my younger sisters. My father was my best friend and I still think about him a lot of the time. Anyway, I had a lot of sexual experience by the time I got to high school. I played with boys and girls alike just to feel something again. In my defense, he died without any warning and I never got to say goodbye. The rest of my teenage years were spent without a parental figure and that hurt me a bit. I was scared, I think, and I still am. I looked for comfort in other people and I knew it wasn't the solution, but people do crazy things when they're scared.
