name: Aurélien (o REHL yan), or so I’ve heard, means ‘little golden one’. I was told that, when I was born, I was nothing but smiles and I, quite obviously, had gold hair. Though, that has nothing to do with this, right? You want to know about Lumiere, or whatever it was. Well, I think if you actually looked at the guy you’d see the connection. I mean, really... he’s a candelabra, right? Not to mention that he was gold. So, you know... it works.
Loan (lo AHN), in the same way, means good light. Family wise, it’s just a name that’s been in the family. It’s my father’s first name and, I believe, was my grandfather’s name. If I remember correctly, it had religious meaning way-back-when to the Hume family, but now it’s just something that we’ve brought down. In connection to Lumiere.... need I spell it out? Cliched, sure. But easy to spot nonetheless. Candelabra. Fire. Light. You know, good light? Yeah, I thought so.
Hume, being my last name, means nothing more meadows’ surrounded by water. Amazing, right? It’s meaning is irrelevant, if you ask me, but my family seems to think it has some magical powers from all our ancestors. Really, it’s just a name I got stuck with.
play by: I’ve had a few people tell me that I look like this Ryan Gosling guy, but I’m not sure that I believe them. But, anyway, if we’re going back to the whole comparisons, then I’ll analyze my appearance for you? So, I think me and that... candle, have a few similarities. For one, we both tend to smirk. Why? Just because we can, I guess. That, or we’re just too darn confident in ourselves. I guess we both just have that look about us. Not that you can necessarily tell everyone that’s going to flirt... okay, maybe you can, but whatever. Suave, maybe? Something along those lines. You get my point, don’t you? A step down from cocky and a step up from confident. Unless you’re entirely oblivious to social cues, you’ll know what I mean by saying that Lumiere and I share the same flirtatious and... romantic air. (I blame it on the accent.)

orientation: I’m a full-on flirt machine and hopeless romantic, no matter who you are. Translation? I don’t really care if you’re a man or woman, though I must say that I prefer the ladies. Human nature, I guess, but I like the concept of love and.... well, all the stuff most guys think are too serious. Comparing and contrasting? Lumiere and I, we like this whole love thing. Not just for ourselves, but others, too. And.. that has nothing to do with my orientation. But, rambling never hurt anyone as far as I know.
