meaning of name: I chose her first name because it's the same as it is in the movie, and I also chose her middle name for the run in with the flowers Alice has in the movie. Rose was the immediate choice because Dandelion or Carnation are as elegant and feminine.

* - - - the fairest of them all

Even from a very early age, Alice Palmer has had the most brilliantly blue eyes any of her family had ever seen. Usually, when babies are born they have dark blue or gray eyes and then grow into their natural color over the first year of life. However, Alice stood out from that factual tidbit. From birth, her eyes were a shocking electric blue and haven't wavered since. Since that moment, she has had people comment on how gorgeous her eyes are, and what a wonder it is as well, considering her parents both have green eyes. She herself adores her brilliant baby blues, and Alice believes this is her most attractive thing about her appearance. Everything else, she believes, could use a bit of work.

Now, almost the opposite situation with her eyes, her hair had been rather dark like her mother's when she was born. But soon after reaching toddler-hood her hair began to change hue, matching much better with her father's golden locks. Her hair changed moderately as she grew, but her current hair color comes from a bottle. Naturally, her hair has a honey glow to it, but she prefers the bleached look that only a salon (or a young woman at home) can achieve. Her parents don't really mind her slight change, but if she comes home with neon colored hair, they might have some issues. When she does skip a few root touch up's, her hair does tend to look a little dark, so she doesn't go long without.

Naturally thin and lean, Alice tries her best to keep in shape, but working two jobs tend to eat away her time for things like working out. She does do what she can, though. Since she can't have a set training session every week, she instead eats extremely healthy. Fruits and vegetables (all mostly raw) and only lean meats, with your occasional dairy and grains thrown in. Though, having two jobs does get rather stressful, and lean body or not she indulges in an ice cream or candy bar. However, after she divulges in the sugar she feels guilty and does a few jumping jacks. Sure, it doesn't work off the 800 calories she just took in, but it makes her feel better.

Alice is a particularly optimistic person. It is very, very hard for her to find anything negative in any given situation that a lot of people come to her for some positive outlook. This gives her an edge while she's working because people love speaking to her, and that does bring in some extra money. This exceptional view does allow her to get to know a lot of people as well. Her customers just love speaking to her, and even when she's out and about people stop her to chat for a while. Really, she doesn't mind much because living on your own can get rather lonely.

Even with such a positive outlook on the world around her, she still manages to get a little depressed when she's by herself for a long while. The strong female does like the privacy, but she also misses being in the company of family. Alice comes from a fairly large family, and this is where her mixed emotions stem from. Mostly, she likes being by herself, but there are times when she wants to be in the eye of friends. Anyone who has moved away from their large families know what that's like.
