Here is one Miss Lilianne M. Lawrence. She’s thirty-five years old and hails from sunny England; yup, she’s got the British accent. She’s somewhat eccentric, very perky, and genuinely sweet. She does, however, have a tendency to interfere and to gossip. She owns a beauty salon in Walten City, and she’ll often go above and beyond the call of duty to better a person’s image, believing that this will bring confidence and, therefore, happiness… Yeah, be her friend!
Lilianne needs friends. Period. She’s a very confident person who’ll introduce herself to anyone if she feels like it, and she tends to go out of her way to make people feel comfortable with her. She is very open-minded, hates prejudice but loves people, and trusts very easily, adopting the ‘innocent ‘til proven guilty’ motto. So, her best friend is pretty much covered, but she needs more casual friends and acquaintances; she owns a beauty salon, so I think she’d know quite a few people through that. Lilianne is a very loyal friend who quite enjoys listening and helping people out with their problems; yeah, she’s bit of a go-to girl for problems, a mother hen. This means that she can sometimes… interfere, believing that she knows best and can change people for the better, usually by increasing their confidence in themselves. But her intentions are good! So yeah, my Lili needs friends: close friends, party friends, work colleagues, customers and acquaintances – everything!
I don’t see Lili having many hardcore enemies, but she won’t get along with people who are ignorant or prejudiced, though she will always give them a chance first. She can be passive-aggressive, very off-hand when she states her opinions until someone really rattles her cage. She’s extremely loyal to her friends, so if you hurt or piss off someone close to her, she will, nine times out of ten, take their side. Lilianne can hold a grudge for a very long time, and although she can forgive, she does not forget: she is very protective over her closest friends, so they are the most likely reason for Lili to dislike someone. She will, no doubt, annoy others with her effervescence and the fact that she has a tendency to make comments without really thinking about what she’s saying will offend some people. So maybe some one-sided dislike that she is either oblivious to or doesn’t care about? I don’t want too many enemies though, por favor.
Lilianne is somewhat old-fashioned in this department, appreciating romantic gestures, believing that men should open doors for women. Yes, this contradicts her independent nature, but Lilianne is nothing if not a walking contradiction. She likes nice men and believes in soul-mates, but she is always hopelessly attracted to the bad-guy, though she will never admit it. This is probably because she’s afraid of commitment; at thirty-five, Lilianne has only had a select few serious relationship. Now, she’s also terrified of her biological clock, but she’s in denial about ‘looking for love’, as it were, so she distracts herself with playing cupid. So, I don’t really know what I’m looking for here… I’ll update eventually! But all ideas are welcome, for everything; I really want to get Lili stuck in now – it’s taken me long enough!
