* - - - it's a small town rules* - - - First and foremost, welcome to the site. We're happy to have you here and we'd love it if you joined our little family here at This Poor Provincial Town. Although we are a tightly knit bunch, we love new people! We do our very best to welcome new and potential members to the site. This leads us to our first rule.
* - - - Respect your fellow players and staff members. The staff personally does their very best to be respectful to all who visit this site, but this is something that's a two way street. If a situation arises, you are more than welcome to PM either of the administrators at any time, and we will do our best to help you. Rudeness is not tolerated here, this game is for fun and that's how we would like to keep it.
* - - - This is a real life site, where each character is based off a Disney (or simliar) animated film. We highly suggest starting each character from scratch because we want the characters to be given justice. This means you should pick out a character first, then find a face and personality to fit the animated character, not the other way around.
* - - - Do not post in character without being accepted first, this rule also includes the games section as well as the in-character chat box.
* - - - You must have an image of you real-life play by in either your signature or avatar (or both). A picture of the animated canon character is optional. That does mean you need a real life celebrity to portray your character. Random people from myspace or facebook will not be accepted as a play-by, and neither will faces from a cartoon, comic book, anime or anything else. The play-by must be famous for something, whether it be modeling, acting, singing, etc. If you aren't sure about someone, it's best to run it by the admins. Remember, we like the play-bys to resemble the animated character, so please do your best to find someone that matches up. If they don't, we may ask you to find a better fit. Once again, if you need help, ask us.
* - - - Your display name should be your character's first name (or nickname) and last name, complete with proper capitlization. Their middle name can be included as well, but does not have to be. Your display name must be in the correct format before we will accept you.
* - - - The maximum size limit for all other graphics such as image banners for posts, or signatures is 500 pixels in width by 400 pixels in height. If the board is stretched, we'll take them down. If you need help with graphics, we are happy to provide that.
* - - - Applications submitted here will be thoroughly examined, as we want to keep everyone true to their animated characters, but at the same time make sure they transition over well to real life. Make the characters deeper; don't take them just at face value.
* - - - Keep our application code intact please and make sure to fill out all the sections to the best of your ability. When it comes to the application title, it should appear as follows otherwise it will not be accepted: Last, First Middle
* - - - While we don't have a specific word count, since the group is intermediate-advanced, we expect posts to be a solid three paragraphs in length at minimum. Make sure that you give someone else something to reply to.
* - - - God modding and power playing are absolutely prohibited. Since this is a intermediate-advanced site, we already expect you to know what that is. If you don't, feel free to ask us.
* - - - Please remember that we are a town role-play group, and while we understand that some characters are better off being children or teenagers, remember that our focus is more on adults. You're welcome to make younger characters if that's what you feel fits, they just might not have a whole lot of people their age to role-play with.
* - - - Please log into all the accounts that you have to make the site look more active everday (or everyday you get on, anyway). It is something people look at and we'd like to keep the site alive; help do your part!
* - - - Finally, have fun, that's what role-playing is all about, right? If you join, make sure you're ready to get involved, because we want to see your awesome characters and ideas in action.
