* - - - the fairest of them all

Katya is a very pale person. There is just no way that you're going to be able to get around that. Her skin is porcelain pale. Her hair is very light as well. It's a mix between bleached blonde and yellow blonde. Her eyes are a very light blue as well, borderline gray, that is if you believe in such a thing as gray eyes. Her lips are a soft pink color. It is completely natural for her to be so pale. Not only does she have parents who are also fair in coloring, but she also spends most of her time in doors which results in no time for tanning and thus a lack of color. Some might say that her coloring makes her look a little too unhealthy others would say that it's interesting. To Katya, it's just a result of her nature and is quite happy with it. The only real complaint is that people think that she's frail because of it, but she is anything but.

Katya is actually a very substantial woman. She stands at about five feet and six inches which is on the tall side for a dancer. She's learned to deal with it however. She is skinny but not conventionally skinny. Katya has a low percentage of body fat but she also has a high percentage of muscles. She weighs a decieveing one hundred forty pounds on her frame. Every muscle in her body is toned giving her complete control on every last bit of it. Something that is vital to her sucess as a dancer. Not a single bit is flabby on her or shakes when she moves. It's all muscle. There is a downside to it though. Katya has never been the most endowed girl. Her strict diet and work out regime do not leave much room for fat to build up. With little body fat means that she does not have a large chest. In fact the only reason that it appears that she has somewhat of an hour glass figure is the fact that her hips are wide and her waist is trim. Her small waist makes her chest look a little bigger then what it naturally is but it's not a substantial amount.

Katya's face is very soft. Her cheekbones are smooth and don't come out from hiding unless she's smiling. Her face is oval shaped with a softly rounded chin. Her nose is slender and elegant, something that she has often been grateful for. Her ears are much to large and rounded for her tastes, which means that her hair is normally covering them even when she has to pull some of her hair back. Her skin is normally free from red blotches and imperfections. She doesn't have a single "beauty mark" on her face something that she likes. She wears enough stage make up without having to worry about covering up pesky imperfections.Her face is framed by her pale blond hair that curls down well past her shoulders. It's thick, bouncy, and nine times out of ten, a pain in the ass. She's considered cutting it plenty of times but only to remember that it would be much easier to wear a short wig and dance then it would be to wear a long one and dance.

Katya, as previously stated, has the body of a dancer. Her legs are long and powerful. She doesn't really fear walking alone for the fact that if someone were to come up behind her she'd probably just be able to kick them and it would be over with. Her arms look lanky and long when she's not dancing. She has rather large feet which she despises so she tries to hide that fact by wearing heels most of the time. Overall her body seems to have a grace about her. Especially when she's in motion. She's a very fluid woman. It doesn't seem like she walks on air, but it seems like she's been trained to walk pefectly almost. Katya just has a presence about her. Call it her showmanship or call it just the natural grace of a talented ballerina, either way you cannot deny that this girl carries herself well.

Most likely due to poor circulation, Katya bruises easily. It's not unusual to see her pale skin marred by bruises in various stages. It's not so much that she trips and falls into things, because that is a rare occastion but it's mainly due to the fact that when dancing with pattners she gets battered up whether it be by rouch contact or them holding on tight enough to ensure that she will not be dropped. No matter the reason, Katya has always been a roadmap of bruises. It doesn't stop there though. She also has blisters everywhere on her feet. It comes from the horrendous tap shoes that she wears for hours at a time. Even though she has built up some callouses on her feet, she still gets blisteres. It's not uncommon for her to come home with shoes ruined by blood stains from bursted blisters.

Katya's wardrobe is something that looks like it could be a mix from Tsarist Russia and Gossip Girl. She loves to challenge her herritage, but she likes to keep things somewhat modern when it comes to her wardrobe. She's mainly seen in dresses, skirts, and very feminine clothing. Sometimes she will wear slacks but she will harldy ever wear jeans. If she does wear jean's you can count on them being trouser cut and a dark wash so that you can't really tell that they're actually denim. She likes to put time into her civvies because it's the only time where she can pick what she wants to wear. She treats her wardrobe just like she treats her costumes in a performance. She dresses for the scenario and never does she live a moment in her life where she would go out in sweat pants.

Katya is first and foremost a dancer. She has been dancing ever since she was four years old. It is her number one goal in life to be the Swan Princess from Swan Lake. It is her favorite part in her favorite play. She has gotten the part in several smaller productions but she has never gotten the part in a major production of it with a well known troupe. Katya is dedicated to her dance and always puts in a hundred and ten percent when it comes to it. She puts more time into her dance then she does anything else.

As stated before Katya is dedicated. This does not just pertain to her dance though. She will dedicate herself to almost anything. She never stops once she starts something. Once she has an idea in her head she keeps to it. She never wants to give up. Even when everyone else tells her to give up, she doesn't. Very rarely will she see reason and stop working on a lost cause. However most of the time she's just plugging away working on whatever project that she has. The one thing that she will not do is try and change a person. That is one cause that she simply will not take on.

Katya has an appreciation for all things vintage and antiqued. She likes the look of them. She likes how unique they are in today's society and above all she just finds them rather beautiful. She appreciates the time, effort, and resources that go into those types of items. Likewise, she also likes handmade things as well. She finds that she has no skill in things like that so she has a bigger appreciation for them. She wishes that she could create things with her hands that are of such amazing quality and aesthetic value.

Speaking of aesthetic value, Katya also appreciates the arts. She likes going to museums and and she likes to watch people draw, doodle, or paint. She has never been good at the arts herself, but she does like to appreciate them for what they are worth. Her favorite type of art is baroque, expressionism, renaissance and photo-realism. She doesn't really have a least favorite type. She loves to critique art, even though she's not good at it. She believes that everyone has the ability to judge art so long as they give something other then I like it or It looks horrible.

Winter is her favorite time of the year. She loves the cold and she loves the snow. Katya's favorite days are the days right after the snow is fallen. She becomes a little kid again when she is out in the snow. She loves to just be out in the middle of nowhere and enjoy it all. It feels like everything is clean whenever she is surrounded by the snow outdoors. She loves everything that comes with the cold weather such as Christmas and Pancake Day. She doesn't not like hot weather though. The hot weather just makes her feel gross due to the sweating. She always feels like she needs to bathe whenever she is in the hot weather. Warm weather does not bother Katya however. She actually quite enjoys sunny days with a strong breeze.

Intelligence is something that Katya is not short on. She did very well in school actually. However, she did have a lot more help then the average person. She excelled with the help of tutors, and the extensive education that her parents were able to afford. Her love of books and reading actually helped her a bit. Her formal education was also bolstered by a "classical education" that was put in place by her grandmother. This extra added education gave her the qualities of a very polished young lady. She is a well spoken, well mannered young lady. She was brought up to know her place in society. Just because she knows doesn't mean that listens to that. She does not like the fact that she was brought up to see that she was meant to be in that place. She actually does not like to be the pretty little flower. She doesn't like the fact that she is mainly there to be a public relations stunt.

Katerina's biggest pet peeve is when people call her Kate. She finds it incredibly insulting. She pronounces names how they are supposed to be. Katya is a nickname for her name, and she refuses to let anyone get away with calling her Kate. She will call you what you want to be called despite it not being Russian but she will not Russianize your name. It may make her sound like a Diva but she will flip shit if you call her Kate.

If you try and tell Katya what to do, she will most likely ignore you. She finds it insulting when people tell her what to do with her life like she does not know what's best for herself. It annoys her to no end. She is perfectly capable of making her own decisions. She is not some stupid little girl. She knows that there are consequences to her actions and she wants to be the one to decide if she wants to accept those consequences or if she wants to take them on. She doesn't want her life run for her. She hates the feeling of being micromanaged. It makes her feel suffocated and claustrophobic.

Katya is not a frail woman. In fact she is anything but. She has been introduced to the cut throat world of business. She knows that humans are not so nice and sweet. She knows how to take care of herself. She is more then capable of holding her own in any conversation.

Katerina was born to Nikolai and Adyota Patruski in the winter. She was born into a world of manners and money. Her father was part of a successful company with an American business partner. Her mother was a happy stay at home wife who mainly took care of the house, her mother, and her daughter. Even though she spent more time with her mother, Katya always found herself growing closer to her father.

Katya was enrolled in dance classes at the age of four. At first it was something that was merely fun to do, even though she didn't admit it at first. Her grandmother wanted her to be enrolled in order to teach her discipline, and discipline she was taught. Katerina became an excellent listener and followed the directions to a t. It was different from when people told her to do something in real life. She knew that she had to listen in order to do well in that aspect of her life. She didn't feel like it was necessary for the other aspects of her life though.

When Katya was younger, her father wanted to spoil her rotten once he was able to freely use the money post communist Russia. He bought Katya many lavish things that were most likely unnecessary for the young girl. She had a horse, her own grand piano, her own massive bed chamber, and all the stage costumes a mini ballerina could want. She loved the attention from her father. She liked spending time with him. She saw a lot of herself in him. He was determined like her, he was hard working, and he had this love for life that she felt she had as well. He was a very strong man and her time spent with him shaped her life and it still does to this day.

Growing up, Katya was subjeted to the world of a wealthy business man and that meant countless dinner parties where she was expected to sit still and where her only companion was a boy, who was the son of her father's business partner. The two never seemed to get along all that well. In fact you could say that it was hate at first site. They fought, they bickered, and even though Katya tried to be nice, it normally just ended up biting her in the ass. She had only ever asked one thing of him, and that was for her to not call her Kate. Guess what she never got?

Years went by and the two still argued like cats and dogs. Finally though Katya had said that she had enough. She went to her mother and her Babushka and she made them see reason who in turned made her father see reason. She was granted peace time from her nuisance of a "play mate." She was incredibly grateful for she had even over heard the fact that her father was planning some sort of match with Mr. Taylor over the phone. She was not pleased and was glad that she had won. Knowing her father though this would not last long. She was simply happy that she was able to get away from him for the time being. It was a small victory, but it was not the war.

After finishing high school, Katya knew that she was going to have to attend college. It was something that she was looking forward to. She had been terribly excited to be able to live on her own instead of the grand fortress that was her home. Apparently though it was going to come with some strings. Her father wanted her to major in business in order for her to take over the business when he was gone. She was absolutely horrified by the idea of majoring in business. She wanted to major in something more cultural and less structured then business. He refused to pay for the schooling if she didn't major in business. She learned that day that just because you came from money, didn't mean that you had money. So she was majoring in business, but he agreed to letting her choose her own minor. She minored in literature instead seeing as she could not minor in something ballet related. She still continued with ballet participating in a local dance company.

Following graduation, Katya auditioned for another dance troupe, one that was a little more well known. She auditioned and she was accepted into the group. They were to go on tour, internationally and Katya was incredibly excited. Her father wasn't so much but she tried to convince him that she should be able to do it. He finally gave in finding that some of the stops were to be in America. Even though Katya was capable of making her own decisions she knew that she was still sort of bound by her fathers money. This tour was not going to pay her much, and she knew that her father wouldn't hesitate to cut her off either. So Katya was given permission to go be on the dance troupe. She was excited beyond all belief, though she wondered what had gotten her father to give in. He said that she was to stay at Walten City, after her last performance where he would allow her to continue being a ballerina in their local dance troupe and where she could be an instructor. Katya had wondered what had gotten into her father, but she wasn't going to complain. Right now she was living her life the way she wanted, as a Dancer.

Appearance: Well Odette had very long thick blond hair and so does Katya. They both had that angular face and Emilie's features are similar to that. They both have striking blue eyes as well. Odette was tall for a princess so I made Katya tall for a dancer. Odette had presence in a room and I believe with the way that I've described Katya that she does as well.

Personality: Odette was not one to mince words. She spoke how she was feeling which can be seen when she tells Rothbart to Go shove it and when she tells Derek how she feels about his reasons for liking her. The two are very strong women. I made Katya a ballerina to incorporate the grace of a swan that Odette possessed. Since Odette is a princess I incorporated some things that she would have been most likely been taught. So Katya was brought up by her Babushka to be a classical woman who taught her manners, respect, and a love of the arts. Odette was clearly a smart girl. She knew that Derek only loved her for her looks and she was also a very well spoken woman. So therefore Katya is the same way with her speaking. Odette was obviously strong after going through everything that she did. She also never gave up and thus Katya is a strong woman who does not give up once her heart is set on something. Her love of the winter is because it's the direct opposite month of summer when Odette had to spend time with Derek which she absolutely hated.

history: Odette was closest to her father in the movie, so Katya is as well. Katya's mother is hardly mentioned though since I wasn't sure of the reason that her mother died I assumed that there wasn't much reason for it so I kept Odette's mother alive, but she didn't pay as big a roll i her daughters life as her father did. They are both from well off families and their fathers are the rulers over something. Katya's just happens to be the ruler over a company and its many workers. Odette was clearly a spoiled young woman otherwise she would not put up such a fight about Derek and having to spend time with him again. Katya too is indulged and makes similar complaints about her version of "Derek." It was hard to translate the curse but I think I managed it. Katya has no money of her own and therefore is bound to her father's money. It's the reason that she has to stay so close by and has to ask his permission for everything.
