This application is in progress rachel marie evans
* - - - once upon a time full name: Rachel Marie Evans nicknames: Rach, Rae meaning: Rachel is hebrew for Ewe, which is a sheep, and Rachel feels like she's the black sheep of her family. She doesn't want to follow her Babushka wishes and Marry a Russian boy and she doesn't want to follow her Greek family's wishes and marry a Greek boy. She just feels like she sticks out in her family and doesn't blend in well much like Meg didn't blend in with the people of her time. Marie actually has roots in the Greek and I think that it is more likely for someone to name their daughter Marie then Megera but Marie still sort of alludes to Megera a little bit. Evans means "son of john" which refers back to god and Megera was always tied up with the Gods. age: twenty-two birthday: August 7 occupation: bartender play by: megan fox canon: megera from hercules
* - - - the fairest of them all Rachel has an oval shaped face with soft cheek bones. Her face really isn't that angular at all. Her eyes are almond shaped and are a bright blue. Her eyes are rimmed by dark thick lashes and compliment with prominent groomed eye brows that have a defined arch to them. Her nose is straight and turns down a little bit at the end. her lips are fairly full. Her teeth are straight giving her a pleasing smile. Rachel's hair is dark brown that looks black most of the time. It's wavy, thick, and layered to frame her face.
Rachel's skin is somewhat tan. Her skin has the color more of a natural tan as compared to someone who lays out in the sun. She stands at roughly five foot nine. She's rather leggy with a short torso. She considers herself to be curvy, but no heavily endowed. She's got the curves of a woman but they are in proportion to her body. She weighs around one hundred and thirty five pounds. Her body type is slender. She has toned muscles not thick defined ones.
When it comes to tattoos, Rachel has several. One could say that she's addicted to them or maybe she just appreciates a good artist. The first tattoo that she got was a poem of sorts on her ribs that reads, "there once was a little girl that didn't know what love was until a boy broke her heart." she has a quote from King Leer on her shoulder. "We will all laugh at gilded butterflies. There's the Chinese symbol for strength on the back of her neck. On her wrist are two tribal waves. Her one arm bears a portrait of Marilyn Munroe. There's a heart and star on her one ankle and finally her mother’s name in between two angel wings is on her other shoulder blade.
When it comes to clothing, Rachel tends to wear things that show off the shape of her body rather then showing off her body. She'll wear a figure hugging skirt with a respectable length rather then one that is incredibly short for instance. She's most comfortable in a pair of old worn out jeans then she is something that's more formal. Unless it's cold, Rachel is seen wearing a tank top, pair of jeans, and comfortable shoes with her hair tied back.
* - - - look deep inside Rachel is not a people person per say. True she is good at her job down at the bar, but that's a different type of people person. She's good interacting with people who will mean nothing in her life, but she's not good with people who want to become a permanent fixture in her life. She doesn't have many friends. She has very few friends. This doesn't really bother her. She's never had too many friends and she feels that she has gotten by without having them.
Sarcasm and cynicism are two things that Rachel employs on a regular basis. Some could say that she uses it to push people away and that just might be true. Rachel had never been one to make long standing relationships. That just never was on her list of to do things. Some may say that Sarcasm is the lowest form of humor but Rachel finds it to be quite the opposite. Sarcasm is a hard thing to master and use correctly without it being useless or obvious. Sarcasm is a humor best served dry and it's the type of humor that Rachel has.
Rachel considers herself to be a practical actress, others just tend to find her to be manipulative. She doesn't manipulate to hurt people though that's the difference. She manipulates them in a rather practical way, hence the name practical acting. Rachel is good at hiding what she really feels. So when a man has been drinking too much and thinks he's being suave when what he's really being is a pig, she'll just act as if it's normal, flirt back a little bit when what she really wants to do is to cock her head to the side with a smile and dump whatever drink they ordered onto their heads. She knows that if she were to do that then she would just end up losing her job and she would also end up losing tips. That's where the manipulative part comes in. She's trying to get something out of them and that's the tips.
Rachel is much like teflon. Everything slides off her back. She doesn't care about what people think about her. The opinions of others don't matter much to her as well. There is exactly one person in her life who's opinion matters above all. That's it. She really does pride herself on her independence and how confident she is in herself. She's not easily duped. She can often tell when people are lying to her. She doens't get fooled easily. She doesn't trust people who are overtly nice who she doesn't know for long. She feels like everyone has an agenda most of the time.
Rachel isn't just a cynic though. She does feel compassion, but her compassion is mainly held for few people. She feels empathy for children who have lost parents. It's one of the reasons that she's considered that over having children of her own one day. She knows what it's like to grow up without a mother and she doesn't want anyone else to go through that or she at least wants to help one or two of them.
Growing up with five brothers, Rachel is into many "guy things." She likes sports. Her favorites are volleyball, basketball, and soccer. She was a cheerleader and she did like it for a small amount of time before the girls became catty and cliquish. Rachel likes to watch sports on TV for the most part but she absolutely hates watching baseball, softball, golf, and tennis. She finds them to be absolutely boring. Watching table tennis on tv is a different story however. She finds it hilarious that people can take ping pong so seriously.
Rachel is good with cars. She learned from the best. Her brother Alexander is amazing with cars and she always found them fascinating. She's been to many car shows with her brother and she's watched him work on the family cars for hours that she learned how to do things and he's even taught her a few herself. She loves to drive fast on an open road and if it weren't for the fact that she loves her car, she would go street racing. There is no way that she would allow anything to happen to her car.
A weird like that Rachel has is silent movies or just old films in general. Jean got her into a lot of that stuff once he became interested in it. She loves to make up her own dialogue to go along with the silent movies. She's pretty sure that she just might fall asleep if she didn't, but she would never tell Jean that. She's considered acting many times. She's even considered Broadway, but she likes to sing for fun and doesn't think that she has the chops for Broadway. Karaoke however is another story. Karaoke is fun and she's normally the first person up on stage to sing on Karaoke night at any place that has a Karaoke night.
Rachel likes learning languages. She feels as if she has a knack for them. She loves doing accents as well and she loves accents on any man. It's one of those instant turn on type things. Rachel knows bits of a few languages but mainly she's only fluent in two and semi fluent in another. She's fluent in Russian and English and she knows a great deal of Greek. She has family members who still live in both Russia and Greece and therefore has been taught bits and pieces of it.
When it comes to things that Rachel hates, it's certainly an abundant list. Rhayna cannot stand people who are self rightcheous and have a holier then thou attitude and air about them. It drives her absolutely nuts that someone would judge her on the spot and then deem her unworthy and try and get her to adopt their ideals. She's really not a fan of that. People can try to belittle her all they want but, as stated before, she doesn't let it bother her. She still finds hypocrites to be annoying if only for the fact that they're so weak that they cannot form their own opinion and stick to it.
Rachel is just one of those people who gives out her trust easily. It's not that she's been burned in the past, it's just that she has problems with people and is very cautious. If you earn her trust, congrats. However if you lose her trust, depending on what you did, you're going to have a hell of a time getting it back.
She would never admit it, but Rachel is a hopeless romantic. She would do anything for the person that she loves. She's committed one hundred percent of the way despite what her past actions and reputation might lead you to believe. She likes the little things like a note in the morning or even just being told "I love you." While walking down the street. She doesn't need big grand gestures. In fact big grand gestures and gifts make her feel silly because she doesn't feel like she needs them or that she's worth it.
* - - - the family honor Rachel was the last child born to Michael and Adelaide Evans. She was born five minutes after her twin brother Nathaniel. At the time, Rachel had two older brothers, Michael and Alexander. The family would stay the same size for another couple of years. It was announced that Adelaide would not be able to have another child without there being complications that would result in Adelaide losing her life. So the family would stay at five for the time being.
Growing up Rachel was rather close to her brothers and her mother. Her father was rather distant as he was an incredibly busy business man. His work left the family well off but it also left them without much of a father. Adelaide more then made up the difference though. She made sure that her children got along and that her children were well taken care of. Because Adelaide pushed her children to get along and do activities with one another, Rachel became more of a tom boy. She felt like she could relate to boys more then she could relate to girls. She felt like she could be snarky, sarcastic, and pithy around boys and not feel like an outsider. With girls she felt like she would have to be a pretty pretty princess who was more worried about not getting dirty and making sure that her dolls shoes matched their frilly little dresses.
Rachel took to school moderately well. She wasn't the smartest child in the class, but she wasn't stupid. She was overtly outgoing. She liked making friends. She liked being around people. Recess was the highlight of her day as always. She didn't like the structure that was in the Catholic School that she was attending. Her fondest memory from school was going up to her best friend, Jean Daniels, and stating matter of factly, "I like you." kissing him on the cheek and going back to what she was doing. Of course a nun caught the little act and parents were called because it was just not right for that to happen. Rachel's father was furious while her mother was amused. There was a big meeting in the office explaining that it was very wrong for you to kiss someone who was a friend because it was something that you only did when you were in love. It wouldn't be the first time that they were going to be told that friends don't act like they did. Rachel soon found herself hanging out more and more with Jean and eventually it seemed like the two were inseparable. Jean was welcomed into Adelaide's home as if he were her own son.
When Rachel was about seven years old, her family decided that they wanted to expand. Since it was ill advised for Adelaide to have children, they decided to adopt. The family met with an adoption agency and found Erik and Jesse, two biological brothers. The two were a little distant at first but eventually they fit into the family quite nicely. Rachel loved her new brothers quite a bit but she refused to call them her older brothers. The way she sees it is that she was here first which makes them newer to the family which makes them the younger siblings and her the older one. Jesse was the same age as Rachel and Nate. She got along with him much more. Erik however was five years older then Nate and very skeptical of the Evans family. Rachel picked up on his uneasiness, but she was never sure why he was like that. Her mother had to explain to her that it was because he had been hurt by his family and that he was used to not having one and that he would have to get used to having one again. Adelaide said that Rachel should be nice to him and that he would eventually come around. Rachel thought that Erik found her annoying especially when she wanted to play with him and the rest of her brothers. He never understood why a girl wanted to play sports with them especially when the sports were football and a modified version of rugby. It was normal for her to want to play sports with her brothers though. She had always played with the boys. It was nothing new to her and she found it odd that Erik found it odd.
When Rachel was twelve, her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Her mother wore a brave face, but Rachel could tell something was wrong. She called Jean that night and he came right over, sneaking into her room as he often did by climbing up the lattice on the side of the house. He calmed her down as he often did and tried to reassure her that everything was going to be ok, and for a while everything was. Everyone was quiet as Adelaide Evans battled the cancer. Things were going quite well and the prognosis looked good. There was hope, but then Adelaide had gone through a series of illnesses on top of the cancer. She had gotten the flue, a throat infection and at the worst possible time, she had pneumonia. The cancer took advantage of Adelaide's weakened immune system and it spread and got worse. Adelaide never fully recovered from the pneumonia and eventually, the spirited mother died due to complications brought on by pneumonia coupled with the advancing cancer. That night all Rachel really remembered was her father telling her that her mother died and showing up in Jean's back yard climbing the tree that would get her into his room. He always left the window unlocked. He wasn't there yet, and she curled up on his bed, hoping that he didn't have to do anything after his wrestling practice and that he would be there soon. Rachel said only two words that night when Jean was finally there. She's gone. Rachel held onto him for the rest of the night worrying that if she let him go that he would disappear too.
The funeral was a horrible experience for Rachel. She hated the long procession. People talking about her mother. She wanted it to be over. The smell of the church made her sick. She wished that it was over. She didn't want to see her mother lying in the casket. She was too close it it all. She hadn't wanted to go at all. She wanted to stay home so that she could mourn in her own way. All she wanted to do was cry but she was not going to endure listening to people saying, "Look at the poor girl." She didn't want their pity. It was unwelcome and only said because it was the right thing to do. Rachel met so many people who supposedly knew her that day. She didn't want to say goodbye to her mother with them around. She wanted to say good bye alone. She didn't want to hear people saying that they were sorry constantly. It was useless to her. Sorry wasn't going to bring her mother back. She needed her mother now more then any other time. She was a young girl. She had never experienced an ache quite like this. She didn't think that it could hurt to lose someone. She sat there in her pain with Jean sitting right next to her. Her hand was in his. She wasn't going to cry with him sitting there. She had already ruined his shirt the night before by crying the whole night until she finally fell asleep. Even though everyone told her it was ok to cry, Jean didn't and that made a difference to her. He understood that she wouldn't want to cry in front of all these people. Rachel almost lost it though when she saw the casket on top of the grave. She remembers Jean whispering to her "Not now. I'll take you away and you can cry later. Not now. You're almost there." He was true to his word and she ruined another one of his shirts later.
The following months were hard on the family. Michael had never anticipated on losing his wife. He loved her dearly as well as his children. He dealt with grief in the same manner as his daughter. He seemed to push his children away from him. He dove into his work. Rachel remembered it getting worse as she got older. One day she asked what had they done to make their father want to be so far away from him. Erik had been especially snippy that night. "God you're so stupid. It's because you look like Adelaide." The words struck her rather hard. Rachel had always been proud of looking like her mother. It made her feel like she was connected to her. She was angry at Erik and shot back words of her own. "Shut up! You don't get a say because you obviously didn't care about her!" It was one of the first times that the siblings had ever fought. Some thought that Rachel was out of line and Erik was out of line. It split the family in two for a while. It was odd. It lasted longer then anyone thought it would. It was wierd for them to go so long in their silent feud. It did end though and the family wasn't exactly stronger for it but they didn't let it effect them.
After her primary education, Rachel attended Andersen Academy. While at Andersen Academy, Rachel became known as the school tease. She loved to flirt and have a little fun but she had very clear boundry lines when it came to such things as having sex. She didn't want to have sex with anyone unless they loved her and she could say without a doubt in her mind that she loved them too. She needed to trust that boy. That boy had the possiblity of only being one boy, Jean, her best friend. She had always had a unique relationship with him. She had always felt so comfortable around him and their relationship was not ruled by the laws of conventions, rather they did whatever felt right and didn't feel the need to follow the rules set forth by society. It was never really a friends with benefits situation, they never had sex on a regular basis. It was mainly kept to kisses in the hallway and making out. Their relationship did change in their senior year of high school. There had been enough tension between them for a while, and Rachel was tired of hiding how she felt about him. So she had planned to say something on their birthday (what they call their anniversary of the day they met. The two considered themselves much too young to have anniversaries and they were for couples anyway). Apparently Jean had the same idea because after Rhayna had expressed her feelings, not only did he confess similar ones, but presented her with a promise ring. He asked her to promise him her hand in marriage, and she did.
Since graduating from Andersen Academy, Rachel had no clue what she wanted to do in her life. She was confused on nearly every point in her life. So she decided that she was going to attend college like everyone else. She decided on Walten University in hopes of discovering what she wanted to do with her life other then eventually becoming Mrs. Jean Pleasant. Jean had mentioned on more then one occasion that she should be an actress. She had never given it much thought. It sounded fun, but she wasn't sure if she wanted all the insanity that came along with it. It was also a hard thing to get into. Rachel didn't want to live off of her father's money. She wanted to be able to support herself. It was just the independent side of her personality. However, she's decided declaring a major with minor interest was better then going in undeclared. So she's majoring in acting at the moment with a minor in women's studies.
After a while Rachel got into the acting, but she's not sure if she wants to do if for the rest of her life. It's not a good thing considering the fact that she's graduating in about a month. She's still confused and thinks that maybe she should stay in school, but at the same time she wants to get on with her life. She's not sure what she can do with this degree that she's about to get. She's never really sat down and thought about what she would do with her life. So long she had Jean she was ready for anything that was going to happen. Now though with college ending and everything, she's not sure what's going to happen next or what to expect. It's a little daunting for her.
* - - - connect the dots Appearance: The play by and character have the same general body shape. Megan also has the thick curly hair that Megera has. Their face shapes are also similar. Both also have those long well groomed eye brows and they're both moderately tan.
Personality: They're the same type of people person. Meg was good with interacting with people when she had to do stuff for Hades. Rachel is the same. She interacts with people for her job. Meg was by far one of the most sarcastic Disney character ever and so is Rachel as explained above. She has a dry humor that most people don't get. She's always whipping out a witty or sarcastic comment. She's got a sharp tongue. The two would anything for love. Meg sold her soul to Hades to save the man that she loved. Rachel would do the same thing. Rachel is independent just like Meg who didn't want Hercules to save her. Meg wasn't your typical disney princess. She wasn't very girly and neither is Rachel, who is into sports and cars. Also neat little fact. In an animated episode of Hercules, Meg was a cheerleader so Rachel was for some time. Rachel is very into movies which I relate back to Meg being called an actress by Hades and all of her acting within the movie to get information and to persuade people to Hades' side. Meg wasn't a trusting person in the movie and Rachel is not trusting either. You have to earn her trust and if you lose it. You're pretty much screwed. Rachel is able to pick up on people's emmotions and can generally tell when someone is lying to her just like Meg could see through Herc's big innocent farm boy routine in a Peloponesian minute.
History: Well with the history, I tried to give her events that would harden her but that wouldn't be over dramatic too much. In mythology, she was the daughter of a king, so her father is a very wealthy business man. Jean is sort of like the man that Meg sold her soul for, but she hasn't lost him. She still has him and sometimes she thinks that their relationship is too good to be true and that he'll disappear in a wisp of smoke sometimes similar to who Meg's love up and left her. There is a clear break in personality from when she was a little girl to when her mother died. You can't be that cynical for no good reason so her mother's death is her reason.
Other: Her major is acting to allude to the acting she did in the movie.
* - - - what heroes are made of There were so many things that Jean's dialogue could be alluding to. Rachel just had to pick one. that one though was the problem. He was being a goofball as always. They never had any dialogue that could be considered Oscar worthy. That wouldn't be fun if they were ever all serious or anything like that. They came here to escapse the normalacy not to keep up with it. Besides this was the only way that these movies were any fun anyway. Rachel wasn't a fan of them until her and Jean started doing this. She knew that he was really into films and that he wanted to go into the film industry. She thought that was amazing. She still didn't know what he was going to do yet. She was clueless about the future. The only thing she could still see was that she was going to be goofing off with Jean and that she would one day be on the red carpet to support him when he won some amazing award or something like that assuming that he didn't fall inlove with his leading lady or something like that. Rachel brought her attention back to the movie as she remembered her words. "Well now we're not lahke that at all" Rachel said laying on the thick southern accent. "However we do have some secret sources if that's what you want. However I would be highly disapointed if that were the case. I bet you know just what to do in any situation."
Relief washed all over Rachel as Jean said that he would be there for her. She never really doubted him at all. She was always counting on him to get her out of sticky situations besides she had just gotten him out of a sticky situation in the hallway. He was always her go to guy. "Well I hadn't met him met him until today and well I just wanted to mess around a little bit. I was bored and he interupted my pool time." Rachel said in an attempt to defend herself when it came to leading on Eric. "I don't want to be his girlfriend. God I don't think I could be anyone's girlfriend. They wouldn't be able to handle my relationship with you and you're always going to be more important to me then any stupid guy who thinks that they can handle being my boyfriend." Rachel really didn't want to date any of the guys who came to the academy. They just would never get it and she didn't want to try and have a realstionship with someone who was just going to get frustrated with her for spending so much time with Jean.
Rachel snuggled further into Jean's side. She was completely content and happy right now. She really never felt like this around anyone else and she had a feeling that she never would. She sighed. Why did people refuse to let them be? She knew that he was right when he said that they were going to give people something to talk about. It really wasn't any of their buisness and they should just shove off. Most of the time she just wanted to wail on her classmates. "Yeah well screw them all," Rachel said when he brought up that they would give their classmates something to talk about. She didn't give a damn quite frankly. Her dark hair fell into her eyes and tried to shake it back behind wherever. "It's none of their business anyway." True she never really cared what other people thought but sometimes it could be rather exasperating having to deal with it everytime she was hanging out with Jean. Was she not allowed to hang out with her best friend? It certainly seemed that way. Was she not allowed to hang out with any "Thanks for being my knight in shining armor. I'll pick you up at eight.
The movie wasn't all that great. There wasn't many opportunities for them to add in their dialogue. They would never see this movie again that was for sure unless they just wanted something that would just be playing in the background while they were doing other things. The young maiden in distress or at least that's what she probably was, had been outside for a while now with her studly cowboy. So it was inevitable. "Oh my gosh! It's a jackalope!" Rachel said pretending to be absolutely mortified and shocked. "Oh my I think I'll faint." Rain's voice became soft and she fluttered her eyelids just like the actress did right before she fainted into the arms of the cowboy who was clearly insecure when it came to his sexuality otherwise he wouldn't be trying so hard to act so manly. Another man walked on screen and no doubt he was supposed to be one of three things: a doctor, the villian, or the rich prick. She wondered which one Jean was going to pick. Knowing him, it wouldn't be any of them. It was going to be something completley random that didn't make much sense but was undoubtedly going to make her laugh.
