The Beginning of the End

"Lightning, thunder, rain, hail. Beware the elements, for they will tear apart the land." StarClan sent this prophecy to the medicine cats at their Gathering. They warned their leaders, but the leaders brushed it off. There were other things to worry about, such as hunger and famine, as it was leafbare. Then the storm came. The leaders looked up at the stars, praying to StarClan for forgiveness for not believing them. The storm passed, and as StarClan warned, the forest was in ruins. The Clans found another temporary home until the forest grew back and they could return to the safety of their camps. While they were away, cats began disappearing. No one knew why, until they found the mingled scents of Twoleg and dog. The cats battled against the outsiders until they fled from defeat. They fought away the dogs, and scratched at the Twoleg legs until they left. Slowly but surely, they left. Eventually, the forest once again thrived with prey and life so the Clans moved back into their original homes. They settled in, and began living life as normal. Leafbare turned into newleaf, and the Clans were able to take care of themselves better. Then something strange happened. The Clans had lived in the forest for centuries, but the forest was fighting back. A thick, black smog pollutes the air, suffocating cats in all the Clans. Before long, the sky was no longer visible, and prey was disappearing. The cats must band together and join as one, but with all the rifts in friendships and loyalties, and with disappearing food, how will they? Will the cats survive? Or is the worst still yet to come?
