Oh you want to know about me? Well alrighty then! I'm twenty-six years old. No I don't have a girlfriend but call me if you're looking for a sexy hunk. I was born in New York City with my mom Beatrice and my dad Evan Taylor. My dad is a co-founder and co-president of Taylor&Patruski Industries which has its headquarters in Russia so he's over there a lot. My family is really rich so I can get away with whatever I want, especially since I'm an only child. When we go meet Mr. Patruski and his family I was pretty much forced to play with their daughter Katerina and god what a bore. All she talked about was ballet. You wanna know what I think of ballet? A gay man's sport, ugh I never want to ever see that ridiculous girl ever again. My mom and dad sent me to the same school as her and that did NOT turn out well either. Now I'm here in Walten livin' it up big time! Oh I can't tell you how much fun I'm having here. Not having to work is a bonus as well. Just mooch off the poor parents and bingo, you got yourself some freedom! Oh, I'm also in grad school getting a bachelors in business. Father's orders! We basically made a truce, I get all the money I want and eventually I take over the business, fair trade huh?

* what are some of your positive traits?

Ah positive traits! Well for starters I'm very rich. I tell you, being rich is the life. Looking down on others, getting away with whatever you want. Taking massive amounts of money from those poor suckers that buy your crappy product, yep fun, fun stuff! I'm ridicuously handsome as well. Oh god I don't know how girls can stay away from me! I mean look at me, I'm pratically a god! I'm also really good at sports. I mean I can dominate at pretty much any sport. You give me a football I can make a touchdown, give me some goggles and I can beat your time, give me a croquet thingy and I can win. I'm like a beast when it comes to sports. I also am pretty good at swordfighting and archery. I've always been good at anything manly, especially getting the hot chicks. Girls adore me and that is something I deffiantly count as a positive trait. Now when I do find the right girl I will never let her go. I am rather loyal, to my friends and my family and my girl.

* what are some things that you can improve on?

Something I can improve on? Nothing of course. I'm perfect in every shape and form, duh. Well I guess you could consider my grades. I guess I should work on those but who really needs a degree when you have money and a business to take over? And I suppose I should work on getting along with my father. Sometimes we don't see eye to eye but we're getting better. Oh! I almost forgot, I suppose I can always improve on sports. Never get tired of sports, no siree! Oh and I suppose I can get a tad tounge-tied when I'm around a girl a really, really like, perhaps even love.

* what's your biggest secret? we won't tell.

Hmm secret...secret. Oh well you won't tell right? Okay. You know that girl I was talking about? You know the other owner of my father's company? Well I've always sorta like her. I mean yeah she's like insane to want to become a dancer and ballet at that. And yeah she's not the prettiest or the most obedient, but I've always had a sort of soft spot for her. Not like I would ever date her or anything, she's more like...I don't know, something my dad always wanted me to have. You know, to keep the business in the family.

* what does your heart want?

Ah, my favorite part! I love girls of course!! I mean who wouldn't? Except for those weirdo homos, that's for sure. Any girl that is a homo is an obvious turn off. I mean just looking at them makes me want to take a shower! A turn on would have to be big boobs and a hot bod. Ooo I can just picture them now. Oh, sorry, you're still here? I don't like a girl that thinks and stands up for herself. I like them easy and dumb. Also someone that is like extremely motivated ugh. No thank you. I guess they can be funny, I mean who doesn't like to laugh? I also don't mind if they like me for my money, but if they mooch off too much then I get annoyed and old Nicky gives them the boot, if your know what I mean.

* what do you do in your spare time?

Okay I'm getting rather annoyed with you. My hobbies are sports alright? I'm like the best of the best at pretty much everything I do, that's how I roll! I can beat anyone at football, basketball, hockey, swimming, polo, archery. You name it I can ground you to a pulp in it. Okay so this next one might shock you. I do enjoy reading now and again. Yeah, yeah I know but I really do like it. I like reading about medieval times with knights and princess and stuff? Yeah that and wars, especially like older wars like the Punic war and things like that. Hey, don't give me that shocked face, I'm intelligent alright?

* so what does your family life look like?

Oh family, what would I do without them? Well I'm the only child so I'm pretty much spoiled rotten. My mom's name is Beatrice Taylor. Yeah funny name but don't tell her that. She's a really cool mom. When my dad won't give me something, she'll give it to me. She's also really big on art so we have tons of paintings all around our house in New York City. She even helped decorate my house here in Walten. I love my momma and yes, I am a momma's boy. My dad, now he's a different story. Evan Taylor is a big shot in the business world. He is the co-founder and co-president of Taylor&Patruski Industries. He's never really been around much in my life. I mean yeah, he's there for the big stuff like highschool football championships and things like that but he's pretty much a stranger to me. He's also pushed me to want to take over the business when I'm gone and I guess I don't mind that part. Money is power after all, I just don't know who my father is really. All I really know is what he looks like and stories my mom tells me about him. But at least I still have my mom and she's the best!

* what are the memorable moments in your life?

The first thing I even remember is seeing Kate for the first time. (Oh I call the Patruski's daughter Kate and she hates it!) She was this scrawny little thing and I towered over her. We both hated each other and would play tricks on one another that was some fun times! I would put a thumb tack in her seat and watch her shoot like five miles high. Then of course she would get me back and the thing would start all over again! Even though we hated having to see one another that was some of the best times I ever had with her.

The next thing I remember was winning this huge archery contest. That was huge for a little kid. I think I was about 10 at the time and I had made it to nationals. This kid next to me was like 6 years older than me but I beat him to a pulp. When he missed the bullseye on the last target so all I had to do was get the target and I did! Oh my mom as so proud as was my dad. I had never felt so...well relieved. I knew that if I didn't win the championship then I think my dad might had disowned me!

I think the last thing I can remember right now was my highschool graduation. I was so excited to get out to see the world and not have to life by my family's rules. But when I turned toward the audience when I got my diploma I saw an empty seat next to my mother and out in the lobby was my father on his Blackberry. God that made me so angry. One of the most memorable moments in my life and my dad missed it! I mean I don't ask for much when it comes to my father but this really crossed the line.

* so we've heard that you're a lot like prince derek

name: I put Derek as his middle name so it sorta ties back to the character. Nicholas means victorious people and he is victorious by being rich I suppose. Taylor means tailor but over time many people changed the name to hide their social status. Evan Taylor came from humble beginnings so he sorta hid his social status.
play by: Jake Gyllenhaal is the prefect pick for Nick. They both have to same brown hair, blue eyes and that always there smirk on their faces.
positive traits: So Nick doesn't have very many postive traits. He is very handsome so I suppose that counts for something. He's also very good at pretty much any sport except anything feminine, especially dancing. Prince Derek was good at sports but he treated Odette like dirt and thought she was his to control, but what I can say for him is this: He was rather committed to Odette and did truely love her, even if he showed it in a weird way.
negative traits: By saying that he doesn't have any flaws is his flaw right there. He is extremely condeeded, pratcially would marry himself if he could. He is a slacker and not very good with women by which I mean he doesn't treat them very well. Prince Derek was the same way, he fed off his mother's money and thought himself the best of the best. He was also not the best when talking to girls.
orientation: He fell for Odette did he not?
turn ons: He doesn't really care about what's on the inside of a girl, only on the outside. He likes them easy and obedient, and rather dumb-witted. Someone that he can boss around and they would be happy. Prince Derek only really fell for Odette because she was beautiful and didn't really care about anything else. When Odette asked him why he loved her he said because she's beautiful.
turn offs: He doesn't really like someone that has their own ambitions. He didn't like how Katya wanted to be her own person and not want him. When Odette asked Prince Derek what else besides beauty that he liked about her, he said is there anything else?
spare time: He was very good with sports. In the movie Prince Derek was the best at archery but he was also good with the sword. I transfered that to just archery practice as well as American sports such as Football and Basketball.
family life: Prince Derek was an only child like Nick. Nick's father also isn't there for Nick very much and Prince Derek's died. Nick's father only shows up on important dates and Nick only really knows what he looks like and stories his mom told about him. Nick is a huge momma's boy and so was Prince Derek since his mom was the only person he had growing up.
memorable moments: Well obviously meeing Katya/Odette for the first time. And I made Nick win an archery competition since Prince Derek was so good at archery as well. And finally Nick's father missing him getting his diploma since Prince Derek's father was dead it's sorta like Nick's is dead to him since he's never there to see him at all.

Hello there, thank you for picking up another character! After going through this application though, we've found some things that don't quite add up to us. Also, thank you for being patient with me, my internet has been nothing but problems lately so it's been hard to be able to look at this because of that and to watch the movie as well since I have netflix. But anyway, here we go.

• We feel as though you didn't take his aging into account as well as you could have. It seems as though this application was written for a younger Derek, not a twenty-six year old one. The whole thing comes off as overly arrogant to us. It seems as though you took the application to an extreme and didn't consider the character as a whole.
  
• We feel as though you could have pulled some better qualities for this character rather then the ones you used. For instance, in the postive traits you have him boasting about being rich. In the movie, he never did that. He did take things for granted however, so you could perhaps tie that in with because he's rich and gets everything he wants, he takes things for granted. This also could connect to how he took Odette for granted until she was gone. There are other instances of this as well, just make sure you really evaluate Prince Derek and pull his most important traits to transfer over.
  
• Throughout the application, you point out how he gets 'hot girls' and how he's into all of that, however that really didn't seem like the case throughout the movie. You could probably make it work having him be a womanizer, but it just seems like those portions are again taken to an extreme. Try to tone it down a bit and make it more like Derek.
  
• Overall, this application didn't feel age appropriate to us. If this was written for a sixteen year old Derek, it would have made some more sense. However, since you are trying to have a twenty-six year old, it just doesn't seem to fit all the way. As stated before, try to look at Derek as a whole and not just how he was when he was a child, and try to transfer that over for a twenty-six year old version of him.
