LOVE ALWAYS REMAINS
"That has to be the shittiest song I've ever heard."
"She's only playing three notes! What the hell is that thing anyway? A mini version of the acoustic?"
"It's a ukulele."
"...what the fuck."
"He was a shit drummer anyway."
"Yeah, at least we have Ruby."
"Finnigan's a shit drummer too."
"..."
"Do you think if we glare at him enough, he'll come back?"
"No."
"Well, do you think if I insult him enough, he'll come back?"
"No."
"Shit."
---
"Traitor."
"..."
"Loser."
"What do you want?"
"You suck, Wagtail."
"Oh, grow up, Potter."
"Daisy Finch-Fletchley is a shitty singer."
"My girlfriend sings better than you do."
"We got a new drummer."
"I don't care."
"Ruby Finnigan. She's replacing you."
"..."
"Don't be jealous."
---
"Hi, Phee!"
"..."
"Are you working on a song?"
"..."
"Want me to work with you so I can give you a drummer's perspective?"
"..."
"No?"

"It looks good so far! I always like your stuff better than James's. No offense to James, but his stuff is always about sex and it's kind of repetitive at sometimes, but yours is really meaningful and - "
"If you really want to help, you should work on your drumming."
James Potter, Fred Weasley, Phoenix Lufkin, and Kameron Wagtail had formed a band. A pretty good hardcore punk band. James was the lead singer, while his cousin and best friend, Fred, was bassist. Phoenix kept it cool at the guitar and Kameron cooked up some awesome beats at the drums. They were amazing. They would make it big someday! But then Kameron had left. He had suddenly ditched the guys and started his own little cute indie duo with his new girlfriend, Daisy Finch-Fletchley. Naturally, James didn't like that and thought that Kameron and Daisy's songs about true love, flowers, and butterflies were quite stupid. But there really was nothing he could do about it. And so he had gone out to find a new drummer. It didn't take too long as people were practically lining up to join his band. A few auditions later, and a new drummer was found. Everything seemed fine. However, the new band had yet to perform and rumor was that, Ruby Finnigan, the newest member, was horrible at the drums and had only been chosen because of Fred Weasley's crush on her. If that wasn't bad enough, Ruby seemed to prefer flirting with Phoenix Lufkin than practicing her drumming while James often brought a girl or two to band practice, much to the other members' dissatisfaction.
It was rather plain story with useless teenage drama. There was no Dark Lord to fight, no one's life was in danger, and, really, most of the people involved were being quite immature. And yet, it seemed that the Hogwarts students were only talking about that. After all, when you're young, your world is limited to the walls of Hogwarts, and inside Hogwarts, the band drama was all that anyone really cared about. Why? Because the members of the band were somebody. Potter, Weasley, Lufkin, and Wagtail were popular kids, and it's always the popular kids that get the limelight. Everyone else just shuttles around to give it to them.
It's been twenty-six years since the death of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and the end of the Wizarding War. Ever since, there has only been peace. Things have changed for the better. Blood purity has become less of an issue, parents were no longer afraid of sending their children off to Hogwarts, and Great Britain had regained its splendor. It's 2024 and a new generation is carving its place. The students of Hogwarts don't have to worry about Dark Lords, or scary evil witches, or dark magic that they've never even heard of. Instead, they're focusing on their social lives, studying, quidditch, impressing their neighbor, and getting their parents' attention, which is, of course, the way it should be.
