plot: After moving to Walten following a job overseas, "Watson" needs a cheap apartment to rent while he job hunts. As luck would have it, at the same time Basil finally gives in and puts up an ad looking for a room mate. "Watson" looks into the ad and finds that the rooms in Broker Street are exactly what he's looking for and moves in. Though Basil is an insanely difficult person to deal with, "Watson" is just the counterbalance to his snarky personality that is needed, and he finds Holmes's powers of intelligence and observation remarkable. Basil finds him to be intolerably pleasant at first, but eventually they become almost inseperable best friends

other: "Watson" should be quite intelligent, but also incredibly good-willed. He sees things at a very literal level and lacks Basil's ability to put small facts together to draw a larger conclusion. Between the two of them they are "Brilliantly charming"; Basil brings the brilliance, and "Watson" brings the charm. He should have an enormous amount of patience for Basil, but at the same time he ought to be able to stand his ground when he undoubtedly gets insulted.
things that can be changed: Name and PB can so totally be changed, same with smallish details about the plot.
RATIGAN!

plot: Since Basil has been in Walten, he and "Ratigan" have been at each other's throats. They're almost equal in sheer intelligence, though "Ratigan" has the advantage of having enough brute strength to crack Basil in half. Their rivalry is anything but friendly; Basil is convinced that "Ratigan's" immense fortune was made illegally, and "Ratigan" is trying to keep that under the radar. Whenever they're in the same room, they have a tendency to act perfectly friendly to each other, but fists are almost guaranteed to start flying if they're around each other too long.

other: "Ratigan" is as smart as Basil is, but he doesn't show it most of the time. He's more interested in fighting physically than mentally. He's got a lot of money, despite only working at the University as a professor. Until recently it hasn't been questioned, but with Basil snooping around, people are starting to suspect that his fortune was gained by illegal activities.
things that can be changed: Pretty much everything. That plot is totally able to be changed around. xD All that should stay the same is the Disney character and his being just as smart as Basil.
