Usually it was a cold day in hell before Fiona Kettle would step foot in the bar if she didn't have to. It just really wasn't her scene, she didn't find the place relaxing like some other people did, and she didn't particularly feel comfortable there either. She didn't really see the point of the places personally, it seemed like everyone was there to get drunk and stupid, and that simply was not her. Walking down along South Street, she was headed home after a long day at work when she jumped about a mile into the air when a crack of lightening lit up the sky and startled her. An instant later, it was like the the lightening split open a cloud because rain began to pour down and since it certainly wasn't summer anymore, it was rather cold. She had a light jacket on but she still had a ways to go before she arrived at her apartment, and she really didn't want to make the trip in such a down pour. She hadn't heard anything about a storm coming in, and so she was hoping it wouldn't last all night. She quickened her pace as her feet smacked the pavement of the sidewalk, as she kept an eye out for some place to go inside of for a little bit, hopefully until the storm passed. Since she was fairly new to Walten, she didn't know of many places on the street, as she hadn't ever paid attention. Fiona saw a sign for a pub and deemed it good enough, she got to the door and rushed inside.
It was a relief to be out of the cold and rain. She imagined that she had to look like quite a mess, Fiona had long and naturally curly hair that had gotten soaked; she felt as though she was a wet poodle. Fiona made her way to the bathroom for a few moments as she attempted to dry off with some of the disposable towels, and once she felt a little less wet, she headed back out and went toward the counter. Although she was out of her element, she figured it wouldn't kill her to have one drink and attempt to warm up a bit before facing the outdoors again. The blonde haired woman slid up on one of the bar stools and gave a smile to the bartender who was looking at her expectantly. She knew that was her cue to order, but it was at that moment that she realized she didn't really know what to order. Bars really weren't her thing, and although she had drank before, she preferred wines that went along with dinner opposed to beers and hard liquor. She highly doubted that the Pound had the types of wines she liked and so that meant she had to pick something else that she was less familiar with. "Hmm...well...could I get a vodka and cranberry, please?" she asked politely, as she got out her money in order to pay for the drink. Out of all the things she could drink she figured that would be safest...at least she knew that she liked cranberry juice.
Once she received her drink, she began to survey the bar that she was in. A thought suddenly struck her the closer she looked at it, this was just the type of place she was likely to find Riley in. She looked at each person a bit closer, trying to see if she could find her friend, but it seemed that lady luck was not with her that particular night. Then again, it was probably better that way. She certainly didn't need to sit around and watch him get drunk and pick up women. It's not as though she would get jealous since they were merely friends and only that, but it just made her feel awkward. Although she was surely over thinking things, it prevented her from giving him a call and so she just sat there instead. She decided that if the rain wasn't finished by the time her drink was, she was going to venture out there anyway, unless of course something else stole away her interest. She didn't think it was too likely though.
TAG! Vladimir Rostislav NOTES! I'll make this pretty soon, I just wanted to get it posted first! I hope it works!
