* tell us a little about yourself.
Well...hello to you too. My full name is Eric Princeton Barnes, but a few people call me Prince for a joke. Most people have a funny backstory or at least meanings behind thier names, I don't Eric was the name my dad wanted as his own and mom liked it well enough, so they gave me that. Princeton was soemthing that thought was nice sounding and would look good in history books under the list of Presidents, were they whacked or what thinking like that? Barnes is my last name, it is connected to a certian popular bookstore, but you didn't hear that from me. I was born on April twelfth to Allan and Mary Barnes in Bufflo, New York. Where I grew up and recently left when I enlisted in the navy and settled here in Walten City. A few people saw I look like Matt Dallas, no idea who that is though.
* what are some of your positive traits?
Well I guess you just want to hop into it. Umm...I don't like to brag on myself I try to stay down to earth and bragging jsut comes off as arrogant and who likes that? But I think I am a cool, laid back guy who likes to have fun. Even though I can be a bit serious when it comes to tasks. I just see it as being very focused. My friends say I'm too noble acting sometimes, but I just try to do the right thing. Not that I am a people pleaser or anything, so do not think that. But I do like to be liked by my peers and respected as I respect others. I am a hard-worker who can get very addicted and determined to set tasks. Contary to popular belief I am not a womanizer, like a few other people I know.
* what are some things that you can improve on?
Negative triats you say? Well nobody really likes to tell people about thier negative triats, but since you asked so nicely. I can be a bit stubborn at times and I must admit I have a bit of a temper. But its just comes out when I am passionate about things and the people I care the most about. I do not think before I act and am a bit irrational at times, but who isnt? Umm...what else, well can be a bit of a loner and not that sociable unless it is required. Being an only child I do sometimes act a bit selfish and greedy.
* what's your biggest secret? we won't tell.If its a secret why would I tell you? But if you wont make fun, I kinda...sorta walked in on my parents in the middle of a certian night ritual. So...yeah thats the only thing you're getting out of me.
* what does your heart want?
My heart wants what most people want love, true love. I am looking for miss right, not miss right now. I like a woman who has a mind of her own, intelligent. Being able to make me laugh is a plus. As well as being attractive, and confident in your-self. Someone who likes to travel and someone who loves the water as much as I do would be perfect. Someone who can be faithful and understanding. Passionate woman are also great. Oh yeah, a dog lover is must be also since my dog is my best friend.
Now for the turn offs, she can not be concieted and self-absorbed. She can't be just a complete mean and heartless person. As well as no high maintience chicks please. Someone who cares only about money and popularity can stay away as well. What else? I do like normal things, so overly unique... okay wierd woman are not what I am looking for.
* what do you do in your spare time?
Well the only hobby I really have is sailing. I do it in all of my spare time. which is all the time now since coming back from basic training. I love the water and going out with just me and the sea is just so peacful and relaxing. It helps me clear my mind and focus when I get a little riled up. It also lets me be by myself to get away for a while and I usually get a good, long swim in when I'm out. It also serves as practice to keep me in line since I recently joined to navy. But it is just something I love to do and something I shared with my dad that I enjoyed.
* so what does your family life look like?
Well as I said before I am an only child. So it was always my parents and I. My mom was a typical rich housewife, being socialable and respectable. But she made time for me when she could between plannign parties and the shoppign she loved to do. My dad well he was always working, but every once in a while we would go out sailing which made us pretty close and allowed us to talk and just be father and son. Not that I do not love them or feel that I was not loved, just sometimes wished I had gotten more attention from them.
Even though they are not offically apart of my family, but our butler and my dog are like family to me. Garrett is like a true friend and mentor and even was like my father, when my real one was too busy to bother. Max, my dog is like my best friend and is the only person I really take out on myt boat with.
* what are the memorable moments in your life?
Three most prominet events in my life? Well the first was when I walked in on my parents when I was eleven. That was just tramatic and awkward.
Well anyway the next memory I remember is when Garrett took me shopping and cheered me up after my parents forgot my thirtenth birthday and went out of town for a party. The third was when my dad and I went out sailing together for the first at fourteen. It was so fun and was the first time we really talked and spent time together. When I was eighteen my parents brought me a brand new boat, I named Amor. When I was twenty I was caught in a storm and my boat wrecked. To this day I do not know how I survived, but glad luck was on my side. At twenty-one I enlisted in the navy and just got back from basic training, settling in Walten City to be close to base.
* so we've heard that you're a lot like prince eric
name: In the story the character name is Prince Eric. I kept the Eric as his friest name. Using a play on the prince since that does not make a good middle names I chose Princeton since it does have a certian air of regalness to me. Barnes was the last name of the actor that voiced Prince Eric in the film adpatation.
play by: Matt Dallas does look like Prince Eric. He has Blue eyes and black hair. As well as a certian innocence, that is not over done or over the top.
positive traits: Well Eric seems like a down to earth prince that did not let his title go to his head and my charater does not let his money go to his either. The two seem to like having fun, and very laid back with few worries. Eric is being pressured to find a wife and he searches for a real connection and love. Just as my charater wants a deep connection not just another notch in his belt. As well as he cares what Garrett thinks and listens to him he does not just bend to whatever he is told and is not a complete people pleaser. Also he takes in Ariel after he finds her, which my charater would have also done to help her.
negative traits: In the story he is a bit stubborn to findthe stranger that saved him after. In the movie his tempr flares a bit form his frustration at finding his mystery woman. which in my charater get riled up when things he really wants does not happen like he wishes as well.
When Ariel is taken in the story he went after her on his boat even though what he was going to be facing. My charater often just follows his heart rather than using his head as well.
orientation: Eric is staright in the story as well as my charater. Both are kinda the manly types, but not overly so.
turn ons:Throughout the whole story Eric is looking for a wife. He meets the msytery woman and is smitten wanting her to become his wife. Just as my charater is looking for a meaniful relationship. Both men want an intelligent, caring woman who he has a connection with.
turn offs: Neither men want just want a trophy wife that is just looks or someone that they do not feel anything for. They want a woman that is down to earth as them and who enjoys having fun. As well as sharing a love fro the water and other common interests.
spare time: Both men enjoy going sailing and spending time with thier dogs, whom are both named Max.
family life: In the story his parents are not in the story so it seems that they are not very close or atleast do not spend much time together. His butler and mentor Grimbsy is similiar to my charater's butler Garrett who is also a mentor and father figure in his life. Their dog Max, is both men's constant companion and friend.
memorable moments: Well Eric in the story enjoys sailing just as my charater. Both own a boat that both spend much time on, as well as the storm and the wreck that almost takes both mens' life
