Wedding were a sore subject for Wendy Davreaux. She loved them, thought they were awesome, but she hadn't ever thought that she would really be married. It was one of those things that she just didn't expect to happen. Plus, why would you want to tie yourself down to one person for the rest of your life. Those had been her thoughts for many, many years, until she met, her publicist, a gorgeous man, that stole her heart and ran with it. They had dated for many years and after a few her mind started to change in regards to marriage. She could see herself spending loads of time with him, see herself being married to him and she could see herself having children with him. She could see the whole picture, and that scared her. Scared her so much that she hightaled it when he proposed to her, from New York all the way back to Walten. She knew she was a coward, but what the hell. The kicker was that when she came back home, she had to deal with a ton of other probelms that made getting married seem like cake. Her relationship with her brother was beyond on the rocks, he was getting married, oh and to top it all off, he was having a baby with his future wife that pretty much hated Wendy's guts. It had been a rough month or so, but she had managed to stuff her personal stuff aside and tackle her relationships with her family. She was proud of her brother and she was happy that he was so happy and that she was getting married to the girl of his dreams.
As she had sat there in the front row of his wedding, she did have tears in her eyes as she took his place at the alter. She loved him and this was perfect. She openly cried with her mother as Rachel walked down the isle, and they exchanged vows. She had laughed when he had referenced a movie, and she was joyous as the priest had pronounced them husband and wife. It was the perfect ceremony, and it was the perfect start to a marriage, and Wendy for sure felt jealous, but not because her brother was doing something that she wasn't or didn't approve of but because she didn't have the hutspa to follow her own emotions and heart. Perhaps that made her life her father and if that did then she had some major work that she needed to do. She walked into the reception area, her hand moving her large bracelet up and down on her wrist. Her dress was overly simple, but was a brilliant color and gorgeous on her frame. Sighing to herself, she found her name card at one of the tables closer to the bride and groom and sat down for a moment, collecting her thoughts.
She knew a few people here and there, but she wasn't as close to most of them, because she had been gone for so long. Drinking some of the water that was set at her seat, she looked around until she saw her mother, who looked devine. She gave a wave, and a smile, and her mother smiled back. It was good to be home at least for that one simple thing, a mother was the best person in the world to run to, and she loved hers more than a lot of things, probably more then anything. Wendy was tapping her foot against the floor, and was drinking her water. She opened her clutch, pulled out her chapstick, applied a small amount, and looked around the room. She needed to do something and she needed something to eat, but she couldn't help herself. She just looked around as people filed in. Some people waved, others smiled. She loved watching people, it was exciting and she often got inspiration for her books that way. As someone that she knew approached, she gave a warm smile. "Well hello there, stranger."

[/center] Mixing weddings, receptions, and Victor Boggs was like combining a concoction of oil and water. They weren't his thing, he didn't feel comfortable at them, and they weren't all that enjoyable to him either. Somehow though, he kept getting roped into going to them. Whether it was for his siblings, work buddies, and now his close friend, he never seemed to be able to stay away from them. As the ceremony itself ended, Victor couldn't help but feel relieved. It was nice that Rachel was happy, she deserved it in his opinion, and it was nice that he didn't have to be in the wedding party like originally planned. When Rachel had first told him that he wasn't going to be needed for that anymore, he had been slightly offended because it was his nature to feel such when being replaced by someone else, but overall it had been a good thing because in the end, he didn't even want to be at the wedding, much less stand up in front of everyone. It was much better to sit in the back and watch, and he had hoped that he would draw as little attention to himself as possible.
His plan to avoid attention hadn't quite worked out like he had hoped, however. As he moved from where the ceremony had taken place over to where the reception would begin, he was holding a child in his arms, which tended to draw attention. It wasn't often that Victor took his child out to do anything on his own, most of it had to do with the custody battle he was still in or so he claimed, but it just so happened that one of the few days he was able to take her, he had already had a previous engagement. He had thought about telling Alaina that he was busy and had plans, but after reviewing it more extensively, he figured that it was something that could be used against him in court. It was more beneficial for him to take Emilee along and hell, it would probably get him some brownie points if anyone was watching. It'd make him appear all the more sympathetic party of the two, and that was the image he strive for. He was often in the public eye and it seemed as though most people knew of his situation with Alaina, and so why not be the one to look like the good guy? It was rather easy even though he had his own agenda, no one seemed to realize it though. It was so amusing to him that after growing up he was the outcast, his own personal dilemma with Alaina and Emilee seemed to draw people to his side for the first time in his life. It was funny how life worked out.
There was one thing that he was looking forward to for the reception, and that was not having to sit off to the side feeling awkward about not knowing anyone except for Rachel. Instead, he had met someone on the internet not long ago that he had actually gotten along with. It had come as a surprise to Victor, and what had been even more surprising was the connection his new acquaintance had to everything. She just so happened to be Wendy Davreaux, a name that had come up in a few conversations between him and Rachel, since she was Jean's sister. From what he could tell from Rachel, she couldn't really stand her, and that was something that Victor could understand somewhat, but it didn't effect his thoughts on her. She seemed interesting when he had talked to her, so why slam a door shut when it was Rachel who had the issue?
Emilee wasn't able to speak too coherently yet because she was still rather young, but she did make a lot of noises and had her own language that she used in attempts to communicate. It was a language that Victor did not speak. He occasionally was able to pick out a few words that she was saying, but for the most part he had to guess and use her reactions to things to learn what she liked, didn't like, or what she wanted. Luckily for him, she had understood to be quiet during the wedding and the girl hadn't made a peep. Now that the celebration was taking place though and things were louder, she had taken that as a cue to begin babbling, and babble she did. "I don't know what that means," Victor said to her as it was clear she was trying to tell him something. "Come on, you're fine, let's go sit down and get you something to drink," he said, hoping that his persuasion could be used to soothe Emilee, who was getting a bit upset or so it seemed to him. He had next to no experience but she had a stuffed animal clutched in her small fist and he had fed and changed her before they had left for the wedding. The only other thing that he could think of was that she was thirsty, and there was water at the tables. He headed toward the nearest one, and it just so happened that he recognized the woman sitting there from the picture he had seen online. Emilee, on the other hand, had suddenly taken a great interest in his tie and was toying with that. He was glad that her attention had moved elsewhere and that hopefully he had adverted a possible crises for now. He really needed to learn more of what she was trying to tell him.
When Wendy spoke, he flashed a smile. Victor really wasn't the type to meet someone online first and then in person, but this had been a bit different then if she had been just some other random stranger. "Hello there," he replied. "It's nice to actually meet you, Wendy. I'm Victor, and this thing hanging from my tie is Emilee," Victor added, ruffling Emilee's hair when he introduced her. "Mind if I take a seat?" he questioned. He would much rather sit by someone he had at least spoken to before rather than a complete and total stranger, which basically everyone else at the reception fell into that category.

TELL ME THAT YOU'VE GOT EVERYTHING YOU WANT&& Y O U R B I R D C A N S I N GBUT YOU DON'T GET ME, YOU DON'T GET ME SIDDALEE really enjoyed weddings, much more than anyone knew. Not that anyone knew her entirely well. Also, not saying that no one knew her well or of her at least. She was just one to sit behind in the crowd and observe all the beautiful things around her. She watched the excitement and nervous energy that the bridal party was giving off. The way that wedding planners bustled behind the scenes..sort of made Sidda wonder if she should have become a wedding planner. It was a way to meet and speak to people, without them thinking that she was just an odd lonely little sparrow of a thing. The ceremony was beautiful and when she saw all that went into the details of its ambiance..she knew that it would be a good job for her. Behind the scenes as usual and never center stage. She wondered if she would even be center stage at her wedding, that is if she ever really had a wedding. I will most likely end up all by myself...with a whole bunch of cats...can't even be a widow since well you have to get married to be a widow. Ooo martini fountains...looks like green apple. You are going in my cup. Victor should be somewhere around here...Rachel is after all his long lost sibling or something around that. Siddalee thought to herself whilst she placed martini glass under the river of cold green alcoholic liquid. Siddalee felt a bit odd standing by herself, especially since she was no great friend of Rachel or Jeans. She knew of them of course, because who didn't in this little town. Her friendship was mostly towards one of the bridesmaids, Victor and Wendy. Sidda had so many gowns that she had made for herself, she thought she might as well put one of them to good use. Leaning back against a wall, she wondered if everyone was thinking around the same thing. Wondering if they were ever going to get married or be as happy as the married couple they witnessed today. Siddalee was sure pondering on the subject and most of all...her mind wandered towards who would that man be. She could see herself at the alter wearing something she made...the decor...a tall, dark and handsome man with a blurred face standing before her. In her mind she glances towards the brides section of the seats and there is only a few people. Blinking out of her trance, she shook her head at how pathetic she felt. Who would show up to her wedding anyhow?
Finally spotting a fussing father, Sidda rose her eyebrows in a pleasant surprise. Victor had come to the wedding with his darling little daughter. She wondered why he would bring his daughter along with him, perhaps he was with Alaina...or maybe he just wanted to show off his beautiful baby girl. Children always made Siddalee feel better, she could concentrate on something and that way she didn't seem to be doing absolutely nothing like she was at present time. Pushing her back against the wall, she pushed herself up and made her way over towards Victor...who was coincidentally moving towards Wendy. Even better! Now Sidda could have two and a half people to make her seem less like a wall flower and more like a happy guest. Walking along gracefully towards the table, she moved towards the back of Victor first. Sidda grinned, her red lipstick popping brighter against the whites of her teeth as Emilee looked over at her. Small children were Siddalee's specialty, they really took a liking to her playful ways and Sidda seemed to understand them better than grown up people like herself. "Ma petite bebe..look how much you have grown. My stars you are going to give daddy a run for his money with all the boys you'd be attracting when you get older." Siddalee cooed to the little girl in Victor's arms. Emilee squirmed around as she laughed when Sidda's finger tapped on the button end of her nose. Emilee babbled a series of baby words that Sidda nodded her head to. "I must say you look adorable as well little miss." Sidda spoke to Emilee as if she were just another person and not a little child. She never really understood why anyone would try to speak like a baby since grown ups just made up the babblings...babies actually knew what they were saying in their own way. Her eye caught her name on the table and she popped up into a straight position. "A-Ha. I love seating charts when they are personally done...Oh...you two look red carpet worthy. Nice tux Victor...is that a rental?" Sidda said touching the collar of his suit, thinking the material was far too nice to be a rental.....or it was an expensive one. "You also look beautiful Wendy...That color suits your skin beautifully. Do you two know each other?" Sidda looked a little confused....since she never heard Victor mention Wendy or Wendy mention Victor before. Smiling brightly, she felt Emilee's small fingers grasp onto her silver-pearl polished pointer finger. Moving her finger back and fourth she thought about how relieved she was to have to friends know each other.

With the way things were between herself, rachel and jean she was surprised that she hadn't been escorted out of the reception area by some beefy overly steroid injected 'security' but that didn't mean that it wasn't going to still happen. She was on edge, but her water was cooling her down, well that was until she saw a tall, dark, and totally handsome make making her way towards her. As he sat down she smiled at the child playing with his tie, as he spoke, she smiled widely. "Lovely to meet you too, and hello to you as well Emilee darling." She didn't dare reach out a hand, having a baby hanging from your tie was bound to occupy your hands and she didn't want to bother, but she would have gladly taken the child from him if she had known him better. She loved children and had always really thought that she would be a mother by now. Life had other plans for her, and yes she knew that typically she needed to get married before you had babies, but she was still terrified of that whole marriage thing. Sometimes she thought that she would just pull an Angelina Jolie and adopt babies before getting married. She wasn't sure if that would be good or bad for her 'image' though.
Laughing at herself internally at the idea of having an image. She refocused on the man sitting in front of her. Yes, she had met him online and yes it was unconventional, but hell it wasn't as if they were on a date or anything dramatic like that. They just met, talked, had mutual connections and then met in person at a wedding. It was just the way the world worked these days, all these high tech advancements. "Well she is adorable. How old is she?" She wasn't sure why, but she liked Victor, perhaps it was what she thought of as honesty, perhaps it was just the fact that he was good looking. Whatever the case, she liked talking to him. Picking up her glass of water, she took a long sip. "So tell me, Victor, how is ruling the world coming along?" Wendy's mouth formed a little smirk, and she looked up to notice another friend coming to their table.
She was awestruck by the women's dress. She was stunning, that was for sure. She watched as Siddalee picked up the child and started talking to it. She watched Victor's reaction, and as the child settled, she loved how Sidda's energy was infectious. She felt almost rejuvinated. "Well thank you Sidda, it's a farely bold color, but it works. You are gorgeous as always. Did you make this one?" She was of course referring to her clothing, that girl had talent and that was for sure, why she wasn't out making things that were on runways always amazed her. As she questioned if they knew eacher other, Wendy gave a little smile. "Actually this is the first time we have met face to face. Isn't the IM world interesting. Who would have known that I would have met one of my future sister in laws friends." At the mention of Rachel, Wendy quickly scanned the room and smiled at Jean and Rachel dancing together. They were a grogeous couple, one that made her extremely envious and jealous and doubt herself. That was a whole other mess to deal with thought, not the right place and not the right time. "So, Sidda, how have you been?"
