This application is complete nathaniel philip evans
* - - - once upon a time full name: Nathaniel Philip Evans nicknames: Nate age: 22 birthday: August 7 occupation: College student and Fraternity President play by: Adam Gregory canon: Prince Philip from Sleeping Beauty
* - - - the fairest of them all Ask Nate to describe how he looks and he'll give you a simple answer. He is hot. And he would be right. From the top of his perfectly gelled hair to the bottom of his hundred dollar shoes, Nathaniel Evans is mouthwatering. He has dark brown hair just like the rest of his family and he keeps it cut short, unlike any of his brothers. More than once it's been said that he uses more product in it than his sister, and it is true that uses a lot. He tends to keep it styled in that messy, just out of bed, spiky look that is oh so popular. Plus, it keeps his hair out of his eyes. Ask any girl and she'll tell you that's a blessing. His eyes are a grayish shade of blue and they seem to soak up the light that hits them, making them deep, not sparkling. And they are almost always turned up in a smirk or a smile. His face is oval shaped, his jaw bone not overly defined. His nose comes down to a bit of a point and his lips are just this side of narrow. And oh does this boy do dimples well. His smile is a little lopsided, usually a little wider on the left, but it gives him a cocky sort of attitude whether he's smirking or smiling and it makes the dimples that much more noticeable.
Nate, like most of his family, has darker skin. He's graced with a permanent natural tan which also means he doesn't do freckles. He's rather tall, standing at about six feet and two inches. Though his sister would tell him 6'2" isn't that tall, but being 5'9" herself she has a bit of a skewed idea of height. He weighs about one hundred and seventy pounds and has an average medium build which he keeps very much in shape for sports. Under his t-shirts the muscles in his arms, chest, and abs are very defined and because of that he is anything but shy about shedding the shirts all together.
Nate isn't one for tattoos or piercings. A couple of his teammates on his soccer team his junior year got tattoos of their jersey numbers when they won championships but that was one team activity that Nate skipped out on. He doesn't really feel the need to permanently mark his body when it's just fine the way it is. His sense of style is pretty casual, usually you can find him in a pair of worn out jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers. Though, coming from a rich family, he does have a taste for the finer things in life. Those old ripped jeans probably cost him close to a hundred dollars or more from a designer store and the shoes weren't cheap either. He also classes it up a bit sometimes, darker nicer jeans and some button down shirts or even a sweater. Whatever he wears, he wears it with a carelessness that suits his attitude. Shirts with the top buttons undone and wrinkled, ties loosened to hang halfway down his neck.
* - - - look deep insideNathaniel Philip Evans. Jock, cocky, president of his fraternity, over protective of his sister, huge flirt. These are just a few of the things that come to mind when someone mentions Nate. He's a confident guy, he practically oozes charm. He's always been a confident person, never doubting that he was pretty much the most amazing person ever. In high school, he was that guy. Played varsity soccer as a sophomore, made captain his junior year. Nothing was ever denied to him and so his confidence grew. Some peaple say that he's egotistical and cocky. Some people are right. Sometimes he can go a little overboard with his confidence and his charm gets a little annoying. After all, there is no off button. If he's ever unsure of himself - and what human being doesn't have those days - he doesn't show it. In fact, the only way you could ever tell he was nervous or insecure would be to notice that when he is, he gets even more unbearably cocky as if he'd trying to convince himself that everything is going to turn out the right way in the end.
Nate is a natural leader. He gets it from watching his older brothers pretty much raise him and his younger siblings. When it comes down to it, he knows how to be responsible and how to step up to the plate. He's the president of his fraternity and it is a duty that suits him well. He wears the responsibility better than many would have thought. Because when he's not being the president or the captain of the soccer team, he doesn't care. He isn't that guy who is always focused on his future or anything. He couldn't care less about his future. He is happy to lounge about, living off his father's money, and ignore all the people nagging him to figure out what he wants to do with his life. He's pretty sure he'll be going to medical school after graduation which basically just means that he has another four years to go before he has to actually start acting like a responsible adult. And even then, he can't really see himself ever being that serious and responsible. Ever watched Grey's Anatomy? Think Alex Karev, but better. When he puts his mind to something, he is determined and focused; there's no way to deny that. He excels on the soccer field, his grades are good enough to satisfy entrance qualifications to medical school. The truth is, he just doesn't put his mind to much.
Nate is a partier. He loves the crowds, the loud music, the dancing, the drinking, the thrill. He loves to have fun, to go out and have an amazing time. And he's never had much of a problem finding said good time. Which isn't that hard to believe considering he's an incredibly rich and privileged guy with all the right connections, all the right words, and killer dimples to boot. So yeah, he's a little spoiled and he'll probably be the first to admit it. But he's not ashamed of it. He embraces it. Being the older of a set of twins, Nate is also a little bit over protective. Growing up, Nate and his sister Rachel and the younger of their adopted brothers, Jesse, were all pretty close. Rachel was always the rebellious one and Jesse was the trouble maker. So that left Nate to be the lookout. He was always looking out for the two of them, especially for Rachel. He has a bit of a knight in shining armor complex, he hates to just stand around when someone - especially a female someone - might possibly need help.
Nate loves women. He is a ladies' man. He flirts with pretty much anything in a skirt. He isn't exactly noble and chaste, he doesn't just flirt. He's just shy of a man whore, really. He's not a pig about it, though. He isn't the guy that goes around keeping a running tally of all the women he's slept with. He doesn't sleep with hordes of women all at the same time. He'll have a thing with a girl for a while, a week or so, and then he'll move on. It's not secret that Nate has commitment issues. Well, it's not a secret to the female population. He's just convinced he's too young to worry about it. He does his best not to hurt the girls he's with, he's up front about the fact that the relationship guy, the boyfriend with the flowers and the candies and the devotion, he's just not that guy. In his mind, disclaimer given. Enter at your own risk.
Behind all his attitude, his bluster and bullshit, Nate is a good guy. He gives his friends and family a lot of crap but when they need him, he is always there. He doesn't sleep around - too much - and he doesn't pick on people who can't defend themselves. Sure, like any jock, he's made fun of the nerd before. He's not going to go all misunderstood and say it bothered him later. But when it comes to the big things, he tries not to be a complete ass. He looks after the people he cares about and he stands up for the things he wants. It's rare that something appeals to him that he feels the need to go out on a limb for but he isn't the guy to back down if the situation appears. He fights when he needs to and he fights well. On the outside he may not look like it but deep down, Nate really is a dead ringer for Prince Charming.
* - - - the family honor Before Nathaniel Evans was born, the Evans family was average. Mother, father, and two healthy sons made up the small family when Adelaide Evans told her husband Michael that she was once again pregnant. The small family prepared for a third child but at a regular doctor's appointment, Adelaide and Michael were told that she was actually carrying twins. A boy and a girl. Seven months later, Nathaniel Philip Evans and his sister Rachel were born five minutes apart. Nate, as he would come to be called, was the older of the two and would forever lord that over his 'baby' sister. The average sized family was now flirting with being a large one. After having her twins, though, Adelaide found out that she wouldn't be able to have any more children without serious and possibly fatal complications. And so the Evans family was finished growing. For now.
From the beginning, the Evans children were all very close, despite their age differences. Their father, Michael, was rarely present in their lives - busy as he was with work. Adelaide was the parent they saw most often and loved most dearly and it was incredibly important to their mother that they get along. And because she was there mother, they did. Nine year old Michael was the leader of the little pack, just old enough to be a little annoyed by his mini me's but too much of the responsible older brother to protest. Six year old Alexander followed his brother's every move, more or less ignoring the twins. Three year old Nate and Rachel brought up the rear, Nate torn between idolizing his brothers and making sure that Rachel didn't fall behind. Not that he had to worry, Rachel was a tomboy and when they were little, he couldn't much tell the difference between his sister and his brothers. It was all sports and outdoors and rough housing in the Evans house and all seemed to go rather smoothly.
Nate was more excited than any five year old had any right to be when it came time to start school. Not because he was fond of learning, of course. He couldn't have really cared less about math and learning to read and write. He was looking forward to new friends and new games and new places to explore. Nate loved things like that. He loved socializing and meeting new people, he loved to be the center of attention. He wasn't a trouble maker and didn't cause many ripples in the Catholic school system as he went through school, he left that to Rachel and Jean. Nate met Jean through Rachel and at first he didn't like the other boy one bit. Of course, what he really didn't like was that Jean was now Rachel's best friend, something that had always been Nate's title because he was her twin. He made his own friends easily, though, and soon he didn't much mind that Rachel was tagging along with Jean and not him. In fact, he even got to be friends with Jean, himself.
When Nate was seven, his mother simply couldn't help herself and she convinced her husband that they should expand their borderline large family just a little bit more. She wanted to adopt. They met with an agency and soon found what Adelaide considered a perfect match. Two biological brothers, aged seven and twelve. Adelaide and Michael brought the two boys home and Adelaide, at least, was thrilled. Jesse, who was seven like Nate and Rachel, and Nate bonded instantly. The two were inseparable from the first moment they met. Jesse was never shy and Nate was always charming and so friendship was guarenteed. Things didn't move as smoothly with Erik though, who was twelve at the time. He was slow to trust any of the Evans and always distanced himself from the family. Things were especially tense with him and Nate because Erik often had a problem with Rachel's constant presence when they were playing what were very obviously "boys' games." Nate always stood up for his sister, even though the five years older Erik could easily have won any argument, and as a result things were strained between the two. Mostly they chose just to stay out of each other's way, Erik doing so only because he knew how close Jesse and Nate were.
When Nate was twelve, the Evans family was dealt a crippling blow. Adelaide, the spirit and life of the family, was diagnosed with cancer. Everyone in the family handled her illness differently, none particularly well. Nate tried to act as if nothing was wrong, trying day in and day out to bring smiles to his mother's face and to make her as happy as possible. His temper was more easily set off during that year and he and Erik had more near brawls that year then they ever would in the future. Nate saw Erik's callousness as his being an ass, when really it was just hard for the older boy as he was so disconnected from the rest of the family. A year went by with Adelaide valiantly fighting the cancer and Nate, the eternal optimist, was sure she as going to pull through. And she probably would have had she not gotten sick so many times on top of her cancer. Finally, after a heart wrenching year for the Evans family, Adelaide passed away, leaving her family to try to stay together without her.
Nate was never overly emotional and he was glad for that at his mother's funeral. He spent the whole day focused on keeping people away from his heart broken father and his sister as much as possible. Standing in the receiving line he kept close to Rachel, trying to intercept people as quickly as was appropriate. He was thankful that day for her closeness with Jean as he knew that he would take care of his little sister. It wasn't until the night after the funeral that Nate let go and cried over his mother. It was the only time he cried until then and he wouldn't let his emotions get the better of him again. His family stuggled through the following months, splintering without the glue that was holding them together. Their father became even more absent, doing his best to avoid his home and his family. The worst splintering happened, though, when Erik blamed their father's perpetual absence on Rachel's resemblance to Adelaide. Nate had gotten closer to hitting his older brother that night than he ever had before and it was only Jesse's hand on his arm and Mike's warning glance that kept him from knocking the older boy down right there in the kitchen.
Even though the world felt like it had stopped when Adelaide died, it hadn't, and life went on. School went on. Leaving Catholic school behind when it was time to begin high school, the three youngest Evans kids moved to Anderson Academy, a boarding school. Jean was there also and between the four of them, they had an instant group of friends. From the beginning, Nate was that guy. He starred on the freshman soccer team, making a name for himself as an all star athlete. He was charismatic and charming and quickly made a large group of friends with himself in the middle of it all. Jesse was still his best friend, though, even though the trouble making boy didn't quite fit into the same clique. Sophomore year Nate was placed on the varsity soccer team, a rare occurence, and he cemented his popularity. He started to take a keen interest in girls and enjoyed the gaggle of giggling cheerleaders that followed him everywhere. He dated often and was rarely ever single, though no relationships lasted longer than a few weeks. In his junior year he was given the coveted captain position of the soccer team and he had his first serious girlfriend. Her name was Lexie and something about her caught his attention for longer than anyone else ever had. They were together for most of the year and Nate had even accepted the fact that he might actually love her. But that love thing, that meant commitment. And Nate had issues with commitment. He still does. He didn't mean to hurt Lexie, it killed him that he had. But that hadn't been enough to stop him from sleeping with the captain of the cheerleading squad at a party in the end of the year.
That was it for him and Lexie and senior year followed much the same pattern as before. Soccer, his friends, and girls were his main focus. His grades were good enough to get him into college and his excellence on the soccer field got him full scholarships to some of the most prestigious schools in the country. He ended up finally choosing to attend Walten University as a Biology - Pre Med major. Being a doctor was always something he'd wanted to do. It started with what happened with his mother but he didn't have any noble aspirations to find a cure for cancer. He wanted to be a surgeon and he is well on his way to achieving that goal. College was like high school take two for Nate. He joined a fraternity, became a superstar on the soccer field, and made his rounds of the pretty coeds on campus. Now in his senior year, Nate isn't too concerned with his future. He begins medical school in less than a year but for all he's worried about it, it might as well be a lifetime. Right now all he's worried about is making the most of what he has left of college life.
* - - - connect the dots Appearance: Both Nate and Philip have short well kept brown hair, though Philip's is a bit lighter. Their builds are both average and both are reasonably tall.
Personality: Prince Philip was a confident, charming, and charismatic man, traits Nate has as well. When meeting Briar Rose in the wood, Philip was confident to the point of cockiness that he was her Mr. Right and he won her over easily with his charisma and charm. Nate is similarly over confident, especially when it comes to women, and uses his charm to his advantage. Philip was literally prince charming, rescuing damsels and all, and Nate has a similar knight in shining armor complex. He's very over protective of his sister and he is more than willing to help a friend out of a tough scrape. Philip fell in love quickly and impossibly, giving the impression that he is more or less a ladies' man. Nate is a huge flirt and makes no secret of his love of women. He never mistreats them or sleeps with them once before tossing them to the side, though. He may not be boyfriend material but he isn't a pig either. Philip had a sense of family duty, remaining betrothed to a woman he'd never met to please his father. Nate is protective of his family and always did his best to smooth things over among them. Except where Erik was concerned of course.
History: Philip was a prince, the wealthy and spoiled son of a king. Nate, while not an only child, is the son of a successful and rich business man. Since he had his future planned for him, Philip didn't much worry about where his life was going. He lived on whims, hunting and riding when he felt like it. Nate also lives off his father's money, focusing on enjoying life and not on his future. He's more interested in sports and women to pay much attention to preparing for life. In the movie, Philip's mother is never featured or mentioned. Nate's mother died when he was only seven years old.
