This application is done riley gavin munroe
* - - - once upon a time full name: Riley Gavin Munroe nicknames: None at all what so ever meaning of name: Riley is for a rye field in England where the rye is very prone to disease which makes it volatile and the character is rather volatile. It was also linked to the Salem Witch Trials which is linked to the magic in the Beauty and the Beast. Gavin is actually a modern version of Gawain and the two characters are rather similar, both very flawed but misunderstood. And Disney didn't even give Beast a name so it pretty much left the door open. age: 25 birthday: December Fourth occupation: unemployed play by: Cam Gigandet canon: The Beast from Beauty and the Beast
* - - - the fairest of them all Riley is good looking; there is no way to get around that. He has the all American looks despite not being, well, American. He's tall standing at an imposing six feet five inches. He's muscular though most of the time that fact is kept hidden underneath loose jeans or trousers, and button down shirts. He generally has a tanned look to him. He loves to be outdoors so it's rather natural. He definitely doesn't care enough to plan time to lay outdoors to keep himself more tanned.
Riley's face is composed of rather masculine features. He has a strong jaw. He normally has a hint of facial hair. It's not a full on beard but he likes to keep it so that there's something there. It gives him an "I don't give a damn look" or so he thinks. His eyes are rather blue but he would hardly call them piercing. They're a normal blue that just pops from his tan skin.
* - - - look deep insideRiley is just one of those people where what you see is not what you get. Sure on the outside he looks like he's the type of guy that you would take home to your mother but the truth is, he doesn't want to meet your mother, only what you mother gave you. He simply does not do commitment. That's not to say that if he runs into someone's mother that he'll curse up a storm or act like a vulgar brute, he won't. He'll act like the perfect gentleman. It's just that meeting a girl's mother in "that way" is simply not going to happen end of story.
Riley has a few habits. He can often be seen drinking his drink of choice, bourbon. That's not to say that he discriminates. He of course enjoys a good drink every now and again more likely on the now part then the again. He likes the burn and he likes the after affects it has on his body. Alcohol is not the only drug that he does. He also smokes on a regular basis. He's got a very addictive personality. He also has sort of come to terms with the fact that he's a sex addict of sorts and doesn't want to really seek help. So long as he's not hurting anyone he doesn't really see the problem.
Riley's been known to have a don't give a fuck attitude, and that's mainly because he doesn't. He's never really had to work for much. All he's really had to do is ask for something or demand it and it's laid out in front of him. He's spoiled and used to getting what he wants. He's also a vain man. He cares deeply about looks. He works out to keep his body in shape and he also only tends to date or go after extremely attractive women. He has high standards when it comes to the physicality of the women that he's seen with. A perfect face and body are a must. Nothing less.
Riley likes to get his adrenaline pumping. His favorite thing to do is drive a car and push it to its limits. He doesn't necessarily want to street race but he just wants to go fast. He also likes the head rush of surfing and other sports. He's just a very active person. Sports help him to get a work out while also having fun so he tends to play them when he can. He doesn't let it get in the way of his other habits though. They're needs to his body and mind now and they have to be satisfied first.
Riley has a complete and udder disdain for anything that's magical. He doesn't like fairy tales. He hates magicians. If it were up to him the phrase "the magic of true love" wouldn't exist either. He doesn't believe in any of that sort of silly nonsense. Love is for the weak minded. It means that you feel as if you cannot live on your own and Riley doesn't buy into that bullshit. He thinks that it's unnecessary and inhumane to have a one person who is supposed to keep you interested for the rest of your life. Things become monotonous and mundane with the same person.
Riley is just not one of those gentle people. He gets angry especially when his body is going through a withdrawal. He just has a lot of negative emotion that he needs to get out. He tends to yell at people and demand things from them. He's not an easy person to get along with when he is in an angry mood. He sometimes has problems controlling the anger that is pent up inside of him. It's something that he should seek counseling for, but something he never gets around to doing. Counseling to him would be seen as him being week.
* - - - the family honor Riley Gavin Munroe was born twenty five years ago to two influential members of Australia's society, Edmund and Molly Munroe. Needless to say that Riley had a silver spoon in his mouth. He was going to be spoiled rotten by his parents and the many nannies who would come into contact with the young child. Riley's parents loved him as much as they could but the fact was that the two of them were rather busy people. Molly worked at the Opera House coordinating events and Edmund worked with stocks and had his own insurance company. The fact was that once the shiny new baby syndrome wore off, his parents tossed him off from nanny to nanny.
Nightmarish would be putting it nicely. Riley was a rather rambunctious child who had a tendency of throwing tantrums when he didn't get what he want. His parents had done a good job with spoiling him before the nannies took over and Riely had never heard the word "no" before so when Nannies tried to exercise that word, they were met with a great deal of problems. Riley would scream, jump, throw things, break things, and even threaten to tattle on his nannies. It worked for a while until they couldn't take it on anymore. They would quit and then the next nanny came in.
In school Riely was again another handful. His father sent him to the best private schools that money could afford, even if Riley didn't have the grades. During his primary education, it was clear that he was not going to be the valedictorian. He passed but he wasn't passing to his father's strict standards. Riley also found out that he was more of the social type then the academic type as well the more he progressed through his schooling.
Riley's family would also have two more sons, making Riley the oldest of three. His brothers were definitely the better brothers as Riley would soon make them. Aaron and Evan were the good brothers. Aaron was smart and suave and Evan was charming and athletic. Neither of them seemed to have that quality that Riley had. That reckless streak that made him not care about most things. It's not that Riley dislikes his brothers. He doesn't really but he's not fond of them either, but he's not fond of most people. They get together well enough that they're not killing one another in the process.
Hormones hit Riley at an early age. Girls were intriguing him more then his school work. Along with Girls Riley became more interested in sports. He began playing rugby and soccer when he was in school, but that wasn't his first encounter with sports. Riley was a swimmer and a surfer. He had even gotten his nannies to take him to the beach often, which they hated. Riley often liked to duck under the waster and test his boundaries and go out into the sea. He even had boating experience, well if yachts count that is. Riley's father often held parties on the yacht and of course Riley was expected to bet here and to not make his father look like a fool.
High school and college were the best years of Riley's life. He partied hard and socialized more and more. He became one of the most popular if not the most popular guy at his school. It was a fun time for Riley. School took a back seat. It upset his father, especially since Edmund had high hopes for his eldest son. However Riley did get a dose of reality, or he would upon graduating college. Edmund is giving his son two years to make something out of his life before being cut off completely. Currently Riley is a few months into this whole ultimatum. He's still trying to cheat this whole system. He's trying to figure out how to make it so he's not cut off and he can still do basically nothing.
* - - - connect the dots Cam just has that appearance when it comes to beast. He can pull of the duality of being dangerous looking and at the same time he can also look a little vulnerable. Riley has the personality that is dual as well. He can be the guy that a girl would want to take home to mom. He's charming and good nature, but on the inside he's a sex addicted and drug addicted which would be more towards the evil side. They're both vain beings. The Beast's vanity was his downfall and Riley was vain as well. He's got standards for the looks of the women that he's with. He won't think of being with a woman who is not good looking. They're both angry people. Riley has a temper that shows especially when he's on the edge and is need for another fix. Riley doesn't like magic. I can't see the Beast liking magic when magic turned him into a beast. And finally there is the curse. I couldn't have him turn into a beast because you know magic and all that. So his father's ultimatum is what's going to take the place of that.
