meaning of name: juliette is typically the name i use for my canadian characters, but also it means youthful, something i believe bo peep is as she always seems to be full of life and having fun. maxine means greatest and come on! bo peep is like the coolest character in toy story, also it just keeps up the reminder that she's french canadian. then beauchamp is a french last name that is commonly shortened to beau (according to my friend who's last name is beauchamp) and there for a relation to bo peep directly. and that name means beautiful field which relates to her farming roots.

canon: bo peep from toy story
* - - - the fairest of them alljuliette is a very pretty young girl. she has long blonde straight hair that passes her shoulders, not that you would ever see its length because she tends to pile it up in a bun so it doesn't get in the way when she's working and such. she has a defined square jaw. she has a set of pretty big blue eyes which most people ignore, but if you truly look into them, they're pretty stunning. she frames those eyes perfectly with heavy black eyeliner and occasionally some coloured eyeshadow when she can be bothered. her perfectly straight nose sits profoundly in the centre of her face. she has perfectly formed naturally pink lips, apart from a small diagonal scar in the centre on her top lip. she might not attract every kind of guy in the world, but there is something about her simplicity that tends to attract people to her. her porcelain skin makes her look almost doll like, delicate and most of all, delectable.
she is quiet skinny, some would say too skinny. if she lifts her shirt, you can see her ribs, not too distinctly, but they're visible alright. although not a lot of meat is present, she does have a little bit of muscle, her calves and biceps are developed and she is ready to beat anyone up who challenges her in a race. her weight of just one hundred and ten pounds may boost people's opinion of an eating disorder and she stands at around five foot and two inches. she has a tattoo behind her left ear of a maple leaf hockey puck and one on her right wrist of a sheep. she has a few scars from general accidents on the farm and being silly. being an ice hockey player and farm worker means you're not exactly safe from blades and stray crazy animals.
she dresses a combination of smart, classy, girly but at the same time, tomboyish. she usually wears cute little dresses with crazy accessories and make up but then slaps on a pair of tatty old converse, or boots. she doesn't particularly care for her looks, but she tends to always look good with no effort, just a trait she's picked up over the years. although not much of a girly girl, she will wear pink, some times overly as its pretty much her favourite colour. she likes wearing interesting clothes, but always makes sure she is comfortable over everything else. her clothes usually make her stand out, though it is in no way intentional, instead, it is just a way for her friends to find her in crowds.
* - - - look deep insidefirst and foremost, juliette is an animal lover in every way shape and form. she doesn't discriminate either, whether it fluffy and cute or scaly and ugly, she will look after it like her own brothers. she, of course, would never hurt an animal unless it was necessary for the animal's survival. she is very firm on her beliefs of not harming animals for any reason whether it be for 'entertainment' or food. yes, she's a vegetarian who used to work on a farm, irony. she's also a nature freak, someone who is happy with just sitting around in the grass and watching the clouds. not really one for material objects as one, she didn't have them much and two, she knows how to make fun out of a spoon and some string. it doesn't help that she's strong minded, strong willed and strongly opinionated. she feels strongly on this matter and therefore, will never be swayed against it. she never lets anyone change her mind or opinion on what she feels is right, unless there's scientific fact that she's wrong, then she might change her mind. but being stubborn is just something you'll have to put up with when it comes to juliette. she just doesn't really like being told what to do or who to follow, she likes to be her own person and allowing herself to make her own opinions and her own judgements, never being one to follow trends.
a leader at heart, she's also usually the voice of wisdom. when everything around you is going down the crapper, turn to this little bright spark and she would be able to help you out. her words are something people love to turn to because, well, she's a clever little thing, filled with philosophy and reasoning. most of her friends tend to turn to her for advice because she seems to have a way of dealing with situations. she's level headed and is quite good at distancing herself in a situation to see it from an unbiased view and solve the problem. if there's a dispute between her friends, she can always take into account all of the views of the argument and come to one clear conclusion that always results in everyone being friends again because she hates seeing conflict between anyone, especially her friends. her friends are important to her and she is always there for them, she is always around for them, and most of all, she's there to make them smile. she stands with her friend through thick and thin, an extremely loyal kinda of person who won't abandon them at the first hurdle. she has a generally sweet nature, reflected by her love of sugar goods, and is loving towards her friends and even strangers.
the only thing is when she's around strangers, she is not all that confident or as loud than when she's with her friends. she just turns a little quiet and does express everything that's on her mind when she's around strangers because she doesn't want to scare them off and believe it or not, she's actually a little shy around strangers. she leaves most of her opinions and strange comments to when she's alone with her good friends. when she's with her friends, she's pretty lively and bouncy, and usually joking around with them. around her friends she is known as a bit of a flirt as well, it's all harmless fun for her though and half the time she doesn't even mean it. she has a tenancy to do it without thinking, but then not going back on it, but just letting it stand. people who know her know that she's not a whore, in fact, she's the opposite, she's a complete romantic. she's a believer in true love and being with the right person, she loves it when a man is romantic towards her, but she's the one who is full of romantic gestures and when she falls in love, you will know it, she won't hide it one bit at all. she will always love you out loud, but kind of privately.
sometimes, people will be frustrated by juliette, why, you ask. well, she sometimes doubts herself. yes, she has these strong opinions and she feels that the world is a little bit screwed up, but she doesn't always voice them. sure, in a heated argument or around friends, she will throw in her buck, but other than that, she tends to keep quiet. it's just the fact that she is a little worried about sticking out, especially now she is out of her home country, let alone her own town. she feels sometimes that she will be accused for her own beliefs, or her own background and although she puts out that she's not bothered, she does get a little upset. some say she's like a doll, almost perfect until she gets a little crack, that crack being the starts of insults and then she will just fall apart. of course, this is one tough cookie and she won't be breaking any time soon, but then again, being away from home does make her uncomfortable and a little scared. she's just home sick, but can you blame her? she just misses her sheep and ice hockey.
* - - - the family honorthe beauchamps were always a humble family, small and loving but also doing well for themselves. they owned quite large farm land in toronto, ontario, canada and were earning a tidy sum of money every year. the company was being handed over to their only son; pierre. they were raising him so when they eventually died, he could have the farm and all it's fruits, well, animals, but you know what i mean. he was getitng married to his high school sweetheart; mariette, and they were going to run the farm after the honeymoon so his parents could retire and just relax. they were young, happy, full of life and now, pregnant. well, mariette was pregnant. pierre was hoping for a boy, just for the pure fact, most fathers wished the first child was a little bouncing baby boy, and also, it would be a little weird for a daughter to run his farm. he wasn't sexist, but the beauchamp farm had always been run by males, ever since it first started in eighteen seventy three. they didn't want to find out the sex of the baby before the birth purely for traditional purposes, but curiousity did pull at them. seven months passed and mariette went into labour, there was panic through out the family as she was rushed to hospital so the pre-mature baby could be born in a safe environment. the tiny baby was born, the angelic little blonde with the perfect blue eyes and placed under careful observation. she was tiny then, and still is tiny.
after a month of careful care in the hospital, they were finally allowed to take delicate little juliette home. sure, pierre wanted a boy, but blood was blood and when you're blood was this delicate, you needed to look after it. he was over the whole 'i want a boy thing' because this little girl was an angel, something that he wanted to look after, and he did. they took great care of their child, of course, they still worked hard, letting the grandparents look after juliette as they worked on the farm to keep the roof over their heads. then in the evenings, they would coo the child, teaching her to speak, leaving her to see if she would walk, and occasionally leaving words in front of her to see if she could speak. they weren't pushy parents, they didn't make her do anything she couldn't do, they just tried to aid her as much as possible because, well, they were clueless on how to raise children and they had made the grandparents vow not to get involved. they were going to raise this child the best way they knew how and that was purely through instinct and guess work. they were determined and that was going to pay off, especially on teaching themselves how to raise the next set of children.
juliette was getting bigger, still a little too small for her age, but she was getting older and she was walking and talking and developing at a normal rate. of course, she started to help on the farm, nothing big, but feeding the chickens and acting as if she was big and strong, able to carry the bucket when her father was carrying it, her palms were just resting on the bottom of it. she enjoyed working on the farm for two reasons really, for one she got to spend most of her time with her parents, always having some fun and of course, her second reason was that she got to pet the animals and look after them. well, she wasn't looking after them properly, but she was feeding them and playing with them. she seemed to take a shining to the sheep, always having fun petting them and playing with their wool. she was terrible in summer when her father would sheer them because she would first protest and then she would spend the sheering process playing with the wool that had been removed. her father never stopped her and in fact, he enjoyed working with his tiny little daughter.
it was just passed juliette's forth birthday and mariette was pregnant. of course, the tradition stood and they didn't find out the gender of the children, but what they did find out was that they were having more than one. the nine months seemed to pass quite slowly as mariette was getting bigger and bigger and even more hormonal. pierre used days on the farm to avoid being with his constantly angry or crying wife and to make sure that little juliette didn't end up in the firing line. mariette went into labour a few days after the due date, she was rushed to hospital and there she gave birth to a bouncing baby boy whom they decided to call marc. but that wasn't it, they knew they were having twins at this point and so, more pushing and another baby boy came out, this one they decided to call sidney. just when they thought they were in the clear, the doctor told her there was yet another baby coming. and finally out came the last one, yet another boy which they named jacques. little juliette, who was outside, sitting in a chair, swinging her legs, was brought in to see her adorable triplet brothers, looking up at her with their amazing blue eyes. in that moment, she vowed to look after her brothers no matter what it would take.
juliette wasn't neglected in the slightest, if anything, mariette and pierre were neglected! juliette was taking up her typical big sister role and looking after them, although like with the animals, her parents just let her think she was looking after them. the boys were around the age of two when they discovered ice hockey, their father used to play when he was a kid, but gave it up to take over the farm. the boys decided to practise their hockey skills while juliette helped on the farm, using juliette's play cooker as a goal. after a few months, the damage was notable, the hockey pucks had created huge dents and even ripped chucks on plastic off of the poor fake cooker. her parents questioned her on the state of this christmas gift and she, as a big sister would, blamed it on herself, saying she was using it for hockey practise and that she was trying to become the best. a slight mistake because now, her parents had decked her out in ice hockey gear and signed her up for the kids league. not that she minded because before long, she was pretty into ice hockey, thanks to her crazy brothers.
going into elementary school, she was pretty much a hit with the guys, not in a sexual way, but in the fact she was a bit of a tomboy, working on the farm had made her unafraid of getting dirty, if anything, she loved to just play in the mud. she was always seen playing hockey with the guys, the one usually not being touched because, well, they were scared they would break her, she just looked so delicate. they kind of changed after a few years when she was joined in elementary school by her brothers, they of course loved playing hockey with their older sister, whether on her team or not. she would spend her school time working hard and passing her classes like an average kind of student, she spent her time at home working on the farm with her parents and the night times looking after her brothers a little more. she had a pretty normal time in elementary school and was a well behaved student, liked by the teachers and in a healthy group of friends. she didn't want to go to secondary school, but it was getting to that point and she didn't want it.
she was fourteen and she was now in secondary school. she didn't want to be there because that meant that her brothers were behind her now, she hated that feeling. she wasn't in the same school as them and it kind of sucked. but, she still got to hang around with them when they were around at home, so they would have their usual little hockey games in the garden, and if it was winter, ice hockey on the frozen grass. juliette studied still, getting herself through high school, making sure she passed with flying colours. while she was there, she created a little group of friends for herself and enjoyed their company more than anything, well, apart from playing hockey with her brothers. she was in grade eleven and now sixteen when she began to date her best friend. there was chemistry between them, there was no doubt about it. they were one of the cutest couples that you would ever see. they would spend their days nuzzling and giggling at their own little in jokes. they passed the one year mark, but something changed. he became friends with the more snobbish people of the school and they had rejected juliette because she was a farm girl. she was then dumped. to show him how much she really didn't care about her farm roots, on her eighteenth birthday she got a sheep tattooed on her left wrist.
the time had come for her to chose a career path, but she had no idea what she wanted to do with her life. her father had always suggested she become a vet or an animal trainer as he felt that she wouldn't have much fun owning the farm, even though she enjoyed working on it near enough all the time. it was coming up to the time when she had to apply for university, but she decided to apply for a local college, doing a foundation degree. she knew that meant she would have to back track her career for four years, but she didn't feel she was ready for university, she wasn't extremely bright, and felt that the training would help her. she was a little scared of going to university alone and with no preparation. during this time, she worked her butt off, she worked on the farm and still played with her brothers, she wasn't going to leave them alone no matter what. she was even at the point where she almost hurt a girl for breaking young sidney's heart. she is a ruthless sister, i can tell you that.
when her four years of college were up, she applied to the university of ontario to study veterinary medicine, but they didn't accept her because too many people had already applied, that was when a few other universities stepped in. one was a university in british colombia, another in north carolina and finally one in england. she didn't want to go as far as england that was for certain, and in all honesty, british columbia was further from home than north carolina. her parents encouraged her to go to university, no matter where it was, they wanted to see her do something with her life. the summer before leaving canada, she spent a lot of time finishing off some little things, helping out religiously on the farm, and finally, getting a tattoo to remind her of home, just in case the sheep wasn't enough. on her right wrist, she got a hockey puck with a maple leaf tattooed in memory of her hockey loving brothers and her native home, now she was ready to leave.
she moved down to north carolina to attend walton university, her parents providing her with some money to get an apartment, but not supporting her. she didn't know whether she was going to fit in here, but she did know that she was going to miss home like hell. she started to study veterinary medicine with zoology as her minor. she soon gained a job in the local pet store to help pay her way with rent and occasionally splash out. her first year seemed to fly by, she was making friends quickly, she was still in contact with her family and she had passed, with flying colours, she knew that her four years doing a foundation degree helped out and she was glad she took it. a lot of the stuff they were taught would have flown straight over her head if she hadn't have taken that. after passing her first year, she became pretty confident in herself, although she still has doubts sometimes. after the summer break, she will be starting her second year in university and she can't wait.
* - - - connect the dots- - - top section her first and second name are more to do with her personality and her last name is a slight reference using beau to substitute for bo, a nickname for her. i was tempted to make her a lot older due to the fact bo peep always seems like the mother hen of the group in a way, looking after them and offering advice and trying to keep the peace, but i felt there was a lot more i could develop on her as she grew older so i decided to start a little younger, but then i don't feel age particularly matters for her, as there's nothing to say that she's older than the others, or she's younger than them. plus, i just feel more comfortable as a roleplayer, roleplaying someone that age. i thought it would be quite good to have her as a veterinary medicine student at university because bo peep, although not an extreme animal lover, she's a shepherdess and that translated her to a farm girl in modern times for me and therefore i felt it would make sense to make her someone who wants to take care of animals as technically that is bo peep's job, although she specialises in sheep, so i just updated her.
- - - apperance i know i could have picked any blonde hair, blue eyed actress, but i just feel avril fitted her quite nicely. avril has just an amazing set of blue eyes which is something bo peep has too, although its over looked, and that's the same with avril. i feel that people don't realise how blue bo peep's eyes are until they have a close up of her, and the same with avril really. they're both petite, and come across as very dainty. when you see bo peep, you know she's a porcelain doll and i think that when you look at avril sometimes, she does look like a cute little china doll, in a totally non-weird way. and also, you always see avril in pink dresses, something that bo peep wears (well, her only costume) and i felt that pink would be a major part of her look which would also keep her pretty girly.
- - - personality in the movies, bo peep is always the voice of reason, like when she's telling woody not to worry about not going to cowboy camp because andy loves him and wouldn't abandon him. i feel that was the biggest part of bo peep and wanted to incorporated that into the character. juliette therefore is the one that has her head filled with the philosophical knowledge and just general love of her friends to help solve problems and keep everyone else well-mannered in a bad situation. i had to make her animal friendly and nature oriented for the pure fact that bo peep is supposed to be a shepherdess. it isn't brought into the character too deeply, although she still looks after her three sheep, but i felt keeping the animal connection would keep her a little truer to the character. bo peep is also very loyal to her friend, a clear example is when everyone pretty much abandons woody, but she still sticks up for him because he's a close friend of her's and she cares about him a lot. she's always the one to stick up for her friends and take care of them when they're down in the dumps. i made her a bit of a flirt because, well, bo peep always seemed to tease buzz a little, like when he does his amazing falling and she's like "looks like i found my moving buddy", could have been taken two ways really, one being that she was a bit of a floozy and just wanted to date the most popular toy, or the other being, she was just a bit of a flirt, i chose to go with flirt because of when she also kisses buzz and tells him to give it to woody. in a way, she is being harmless and just showing her affections for woody, but at the same time, she kissed buzz for no other reason than he is a space man. of course, she is a romantic at heart, like when she pulls woody closer to her with her crook and is always seen being very romantic towards him. but then again, she only does the daring moves when she's in private which is what i tried to bring to juliette. i wanted to bring a flaw to juliette, so i kind of pulled on the idea of bo peep only really being extremely forward with woody with juliette only really being confident with her friends, in a way its similar and i wanted to add a hint of realism instead of keeping her as perfect as bo peep is portrayed in the movies.
- - - history okay, so first, why did i make her canadian when the character has nothing to do with canada? well, i kind of wanted to emphasis the idea that she comes from a completely different culture with the farm background and such but still be a lovable person and someone easily accepted into friend groups. also, she is a bit of an outsider because technically, she's molly's light shade, not one of andy's toys (even though he plays with her), yet she still hangs around with the likes of woody and buzz. lame excuse i know, but i am lame. i decided to give her triplet younger brothers because bo peep has three sheep to look after and is always looking out for them, and juliette does the same for her own brothers. i didn't find it necessary to add any drama to her life because bo peep never seems to be troubled or upset about something that takes her back, so i felt a simple past would just be easier. i thought the easiest way to make the connection between the two would to have something to do with animals and looking after them. i kind of added the damsel in distress element to her when she was a little older by guys not wanting to play hockey with her and always treating her carefully in case she cracked. i made her stay in school so long because she wanted to keep a watchful eye over her brothers as they grew up through high school, something bo peep always tends to do in the way she keeps a watchful eye over her sheep. while she does neglect them sometimes, that's usually when she's sure someone else is looking after them.
* - - - the stuff heroes are made of- - - juliette was once again faced with the option, study or go out. her answer? well, she was going to do both. she was fed up of being cooped up inside and she just wanted to go out and get some fresh air. she looked around her tidy little apartment, deciding what to take with her and what she would need. she walked around, gathering a few odds and ends; a bottle of apple juice, a couple of pens (never be too careful, they always end up running out on you when you need them the most), a pad and of course, her book that she was supposed to be studying out of. she put all the books into her bag and nodded to herself, she was just about ready to venture into the great wide open. she grabbed a light jacket and slipped it around her slender frame, over the top of her light blue tshirt that adorned a cute cow with the phrase "udderly awesome". she slung her bag upon he shoulders and made her way out of the apartment, grabbing her keys as she left and stuffing them in the her jeans pocket.
- - - moving through the corridor, juliette wave at her neighbours, just being polite and typically lovable. she didn't mind thie apartment block, there were some cool people that lived there, her next door neighbour always cooked her the coolest brownies and let her stay over to watch the ice hockey as she couldn't afford cable on her student budget. made her miss home a bit, but at least she was able to keep up with the leagues now. coming down the stairs, she thought now would be a good time to pick up her mail. she opened her little box at the bottom of the stairs and grabbed the two letters that were inside. she took her bag off of her back and stuffed the letters into the little compartment at the front, she would read them during her snack break after studying, that way she wouldn't be wasting any valuable study time. gosh, she was a bit of a nerd.
- - - although she had been here for nearly a year now, she still got lost in the small town sometimes. she slowly started to walk up the street, the way she believed would take her to the park, nope, that was going to take her in completely the wrong direction. realising, she turned quickly and began walking in the other direction towards the park, the place that always felt a little more homely. she loved to just be in the grass and be a little more happier, it made her feel calm and most of all, it just put a smile on her face. she arrived to the park, smiling as she saw the pretty flowers, the welcoming grass and the oh-so tempting swing set. she wasn't childish, but there was something about a swing set that just made her a little over excited and a little too happy. maybe it was just the rush of the wind and the smell of the park as you swung, almost weightless in the air. or something like that anyway.
- - - she found a spot of grass that looked just right for her to study on. she took her bag off of her back and dropped it on the grass, she then proceeded to drop herself to the floor, landing squarely on her bottom, cross legged and as chipper as anything. she went into her bag and picked out the letters first, she knew she was supposed to read them in her break, but she wanted to open them now. the first one was a reminder of when term started up again at walton university, as if she could forget, it was imprinted on her mind because she didn't want to screw it up. the second letter was from her parents, a regular letter to tell her everything was good. yes, she did phone them, instant message them, email them and even web cam them, but there was something about a good old fashioned letter that could always make her smile. she stuffed both letters in her bag, she would read the letter when she had a little more "me" time.
- - - carefully, she opened her book because if she damaged it, she would have to pay for it and she really had no idea if she could afford it. She settled into her little spot and began reading, looking up occasionally to remember what she had read. after reading the section, she pulled out her notepad and pen and started to write, well, draw a dot. she tried to sum up what she had written, but couldn't think of how to write it. she groaned in frustration and began reading again, then paused and went to write down her notes. once again, the poor little blonde was blank and couldn't think of any way to write out what she had just written. she shook her head and tried again. and yet again, she failed, her head just didn't seem to be in the game today. "ah, this is pointless,"
