This application is (a work in progress) wendy eponine moira davreaux
* - - - once upon a time full name: Wendy Eponine Moira Davreaux nicknames: Wend and Winnie meaning of name: Wendy means white, fair and blessed and is generally a shortened form of Gwendolyn. The autor of peter pan actually got the name of a little girl that used to the call the author 'fwendy-wendy'. I chose to use it because it's the original character and it's really pretty. Eponine is straight from the character in Hugo Victor's Les Misérables. Wendy's mother loved the book, so that's that one. Moira is a form of Marie and Marie is Mrs. Davreaux's middle name. Enough said. Davreaux is something she just got stuck with, it also happens to sound like Darling, which is the original characters name. age: Twenty five birthday: 10 of January occupation: Author play by: Amy Adams canon: Wendy Darling from Peter Pan
* - - - the fairest of them all Wendy stands about five feet five inches and weighs a grand total of one hundred and twenty five pounds. Her hair is past her shoulders and something that she takes great pride in. As a matter of fact she takes great pride in her entire appearance. She supposes that it was the way that she grew up that made it like that. Making sure that she was always clean properly, always well dressed and looked like a nice, young lady. That has only gotten worse over the years. Her hair color is red, a very glorious shade of red, even though it's very pretty, it's also meticulously dyed to bring out all the hidden colors, it's also very thick, which most days is more than she can handle. She often contemplates just chopping it all off, but then realizes that it would look just aweful. It has a bit of a wave to it, and more times then not, she is pulling it up with massive curls or making it stick straight. It takes more time then it is really worth, but it's something she just doesn't skimp on. Her eyes are blue, and wide shaped, and sometimes has a very innocent look to them. Her lips are thin, or rather thinish, and shaped like a bow. Also a family trait is her chin that comes down to a small point with a little dash right in the middle. Of course, nothing like Jean's but people can usually see the resemblance. She had a smaller frame, chest, waist, the works. She doesn't mind it and feels that it works fine with the rest of her. Anything bigger and she feels she would look like scary.
Wendy is a true fashion lover. She is always watching runway shows. She loves fasion, feels that every show or item on the runway tells a story, and Wendy has a thing for stories. She loves to wear stuff that normally wouldn't go together, but she feels works. She doesn't crave that acceptance from the way she looks, but with her upbrining, she has a dual way of thinking when it comes to the way she looks. She is a famous author, one that has written a ton of books. She has to dress a certain way when she goes to movie openings and press conferances and things like that. So she is often seen with her hair pulled back, very professional and very lady like. When she is just herself though, it's flowy skirts, jeans, heels, flats, vests, anything you can think of. She does lean more towards dresses, she just likes the flow and feel of a skirt, but she is open to any and everything. As a child she was always wearing pristine dresses, stuff that those uber fancy people would force her kids into just because they wanted them to look like dolls, so as an adult, she does what she can when she is away from the spotlight to be the very opposite.
* - - - look deep inside While there are many parts to Wendy's personality there is always that underlying trait that tends to pop out at odd times. She is extremely innocent. She was sheltered as a child, not in a horrible way, but in the sense that everything she did was watched and guided just like her brothers, only while at times they needed to prove that they were men, she needed to prove that she would make for an excellent wife and mother and a proper lady that would be able to hold fund raisers and banquets, dinners and balls. She hated it, didn't want it to happen. She was desperate to stay a child. To this day it has given her a sort of twisted way of being. She is reckless with money, has a short temper that is sparked easily and she knows that she is a little bit needy. Some consider it childish, some consider it just a poor little rich girl, some even say that she needs to be knocked down a notch. All in all, Wendy sees it as being something that she just can't change. She knows that it's her weakest personality trait and she does her best to get over it, but has also learned to live with it. She is slowly immersing herself into the world and the longer that she lives on her own the more she is coming to realized that she did live a sheltered life, and that it has to change. Plus, who would want to grow up fully anyway, you loose the magic of life that way, not only that, but at the same time you become a dodgy old man like her father had been.
Wendy is very creative and always has been, it's no longer a hobby or a way to pass the time but a real personality trait, something that if was erased would make Wend feel lackluster and boring. It is her breath and sometimes she feels that it is her life. Since she was a child she was always telling stories, always creating something. It often got her into trouble. She was drawing on paper as soon as she could hold a coloring pencil, she was always doing something that way. To this day she is always changing things up. Her home is never painted the same thing all year long, she is ecclectic with her furniture and her glass ware comes from blown glass where one peice doesn't match any other. She has flowers everywhere and is very indesisive about many things. She goes with the flow, does what she wants when the mood strikes, and at most times is very hippie chic. She is a writer and an author, as well and is all about the creative soul. She does yoga and pilates, and is a very all natural, artistic women.
Winnie is someone that is really dedicated to her people. She is also a bit of a risktaker. That probably ties in with the fact that she always wanted to stay young, fun, and just live life. She didn't want to be some stuffy old trophy wife with nothing to do but drink and wish for the better years that she could have had. She has learned how to fly, gone skydiving, paintballed, traveled the world on a whim. She is someone that doesn't mind coming against something hard to deal with. She will usually try anything once, and doesn't mind having a problem with something that she couldn't figure out. She is adverntourous and tasks calculated risks. She isn't stupid about it, but she is just that person that would be up for anything...as long as she knew she could live through it.
All through her years, even as a child she was one that protected her people. Her brothers, her mother, her friends. She is like a mother lion when it comes to those people that she cares about. She has always wanted to be a mother, and feels that she would truly be good at it, if she could actually settle down and grow up. It doesn't matter if your her family or not, she is always caring, always trying to help out peopel around her. Sometimes she gets carried away and more then once people have taken a little advantage of her, but that is just something that is okay. She can handle it, it's life after all. She valunteers at homeless shelters and orphanges and usually spends a great deal of time at charities and spends every thanksgiving working at a food bank, and works with orphanges during the christmas season. She is often referred to Mother Winnie by some, and it always warms her heart.
* - - - the family honor James and Jane Davreaux. Most thought they were the perfect couple. Lived the perfect life. Well it did seem perfect to the outside world, on the inside though there was always a little bit of turmoil. Wendy Eponine Moira Davreaux was born on a chilly 10th of January. She was the first of the Davreaux children and a huge disappointment. The simple reason for that is the fact that she was female. Not the male heir that her parents or more importantly her father had wanted. Her mother was really and truly her savior. She read her stories, held her hand, kissed her forehead and always told her that both of her parents loved her immensely, even if her father didn't show it all the time. Even though her father wanted a son, wanted someone to take over all the businesses that he owned and everything, James expected his daughter to be nothing but the best a women could live up to. She was to dress properly, have the right manners, and marry well. It wasn't as if she was a price to be bartered away but she was defiantly not going to be a waste in her father's eyes. Secretly her mother would always come into her bedroom and tell her stories of pirates and fairies, of magical lands and far away places. They weren't always silly stories or fairytales, but she told Wendy of places like Greece, Italy, the Irish hills, the Amazon. Any work that her father would put into her was usually replaced with those stories and places that she always wanted to visit.
Life moved along nicely until she realized that mommy was pregnant, and then she was so happy that she was often seen prancing around. At night, it was no longer Jane Davreaux telling her daughter stories, it was Wendy that would sit with her hand on her mother's tummy, telling her little brother or sister stories from a three year olds mind. It was probably the happiest times in Wendy's life, well maybe not, but her happiest childhood memories. She didn't care what sex the baby was, she just knew that things would be all better with a sibling around to love and care for and be a mommy to. So, Jean Nathaniel Davreaux was born. The heir, the prince to the Davreaux name. Things changed. She was no longer the center of attention and she was okay about that, but her daddy was being mean all the time. Wouldn't let Wendy tell Jean stories of fairies and mermaids. It only got worse. At nights, she would sneak into Jean's room, and tell him stories, just like she did when he was in the womb. Years progressed like that. Her sneaking around at night, usually being found in the morning my their mother, sleeping next to his crib or his bed. Michael was born four years after Jean and he was the final piece to the Davreaux puzzle. Again she told stories to Michael, but was getting harder and harder for her to sneak around with her dad watching so closely.
The years passed and passed and when it was time for Wendy to leave primary school and go into a finishing type of school. She groaned and hated it. She was sent to a boarding school in France, at the age of thirteen. That was where she was supposed to turn into a real lady and learn everything that she would need to know. She grew apart from her brothers and her family in general, only seeing them when she actually went home for the holidays, which she would look forward to. She started noticing changed though, small at first, Jean being distant, things being very strict at home. She couldn't tell if it was just her realizing that things didn't always have to be so rule-abiding or if it was indeed the way things were. It made her sad and into her teenager years her and Jean would continually fight, over everything. Over the fact that he was a drone, a robot a sheep, just following exactly what their controlling father wanted him to do. She wold often go back to her school, and cry. How could her sweet little brother with the fluffy hair became such a mini-James. It saddened her and made her want to hit something at the same time.
So, she did what she could. She talked to her mother and Michael over the phone, pretty much every day. She threw herself into her studies, english, writing techniques, history classes. She did any and everything she could to prove that you didn't have to follow everyone else's rules to be someone amazing. Eventually she realized that her and Jean's relationship had changed. That he wans no longer the brother that she had always hoped for and they started to not talk. She stayed in Provence, France at the same school for years and years until she finally graduated with honors. She has a thick french accent because of this, and doesn't mind speaking fluently in French, English and Italian. Not really knowing exactly what she wanted to do after her schooling was done, she traveled around for a year, going to every place that her and her mother had talked about. She tried to fulfill every dream that she every really had and that where she began to write.
First it was just for local papers and magazines and then a publishing company caught on to one of her stories about the fairies under the Irish hills and that's when her life really changed. So, she started to write them full stories. Her head was full of them, even as a child. She dug deep and wrote about all sorts of things. Pirates, thrillers, romance. Each story that she writes has a little bit of everything. She couldn't be happy with where she is or what she is doing. She is doing exactly what she wants, making her own money, living her life to the fullest and never thinks that she is too stuffy or a drone. She is currently working on a project of turning one of her novels into a script that is being turned into a movie. She had been away from her family for a long time. She visits them of course, but never wants to intrude into their little perfect lives. She loved them, all, even her father. Without him, she knows that she might not have had the drive to do the exact opposite of what he wanted and that wouldn't have led her to what she is doing today. Even though her more permanet home is in New York, her base so to speak, she has recently decided to move to Walten City. For a couple of different reasons. She needed a new place to go, and that's where her brothers are. She needs her family, she needs those she holds so close to her heart. She is moving into a little cottage that she has just bought this very week.
* - - - connect the dots Well Wendy from Peter Pan is described as having a huge distaste for adulthood, mostly due to her father showing her what 'adulthood' really meant. My Winnie is like that in the sense that she is never in one place for a ton of time, spends her money recklessly, has a temermental personality and all of these traits are often signs of a very childish persona. Oddly enough, in the movie Wendy takes on a very adult like role with the Lost boys, and for my Wendy, it's the fact that she helps the homeless, orphanges, and people in need. Her adventourous side is loosely tied to the movie by the fact that she gets captured by pirates, and goes off with peter in the first place.
All throughout the movie, it's reasoned that wendy was the one that was telling stories and filling her brother's heads with nonsense, which promotes her father to saying that she needs to move out of the nursery. I took that one step further and said that she not only told stories as a child, but grew up to tell stories to the world. She can be the semi-adult that she needs to be while still staying true to her roots and love of a good story told by someone you love.
Truthfully as far as looks go, it's hard to say. Wendy has been portrayed having, blond, brunette and red hair, but I think with their slim builds, semi-doll like features, blue eyes, and red hair amy adams and wendy darling make perfect matches. Even Amy Adams' movements are delicate and sweet as I imagine Wendy Darlings were and are.
